did i miss something? has mayfield been caught in drunk stuppors at OU and using his daddy's oil money to watch lebron during exam week? or you just referring to him not liking his rivals and being competitive, something boyzel wasn't
He was arrested for public intoxication and suspended the first half of his senior day game for making obscene gestures toward the other team. Those scream maturity issues to me. Gase doesn't want immature players on this team and traded our stud running back because he didn't bother to study the plays.
It should be.. I’m pretty sure if Mayfield is on the board at 11 we’re gonna get substantial offers if Grier and tannebaum play this right.. Grier started it out correctly by addressing the point and saying we will take bpa even if it’s a qb.. However, I think we need more conviction, we must convince everyone else that we will take a qb.. So be present during all workouts, at least pretend to show real interest even if there isn’t, do all the interviews.. Maybe we can get a good deal here in some extra picks.. I would also go to Ryan and tell him our intentions..
But what if Miami is actually interested in a QB and it’s not a smokescreen at all? Tannehill is far from Elite and it would be wise to get a future QB anyways considering his age, average QB play and coming off of an ACL injury. Perfect mix to be in the QB draft market.
I don't see why anyone on either side of the Tannehill debate would be opposed to bringing in a guy like Mayfield. 2 good QBs worked out pretty well for GB and NE.
Gase don’t want immature players but continues to trot the most immature player DeVante Parker out there every Sunday.
It’s def not an easy situation, there are benefits from both angles, hedging your bet on your current qb or trading the pick to someone else for more picks, which in return allows you to surround your qb with more talent..
I see your point. I guess if it was a guy like A. Rodgers, I would be with the “trade pick” side... but seeing as Tannehill is decent, not great, I rather go the other direction as a great QB can mask holes on a lot of places in your team. Start Tannehill in 2018, groom the rookie and go from there. If Tannehill ends up balling out his mind, keep starting him till he stops. I think QB competition can take QBs to new levels (See: Alex Smith when SF drafted Kap and again Alex Smith when KC drafted Mahomes and various other accounts)
The funny part of this whole story is that people are assuming that Kenny Stills has an ounce of pull in the war room during the NFL draft. What I find more interesting is WHY he would make a comment like that and possibly open up an NFL Tampering situation since the rules are so strict. That almost makes me think the guy wants to land in New England or New York (since nobody ever wants to go to Buffalo).
don't forget trotting laundry and his multiple personal fouls for being a douche... also starting a fight, multiple times..... we have some mature players alright...
It wasn’t Stills who took the screenshot and reported it. That was Clancy I believe. That would of put Stills in a peculiar place had he done it. Stills has no control over who post stuff onto his Instagram story. Stills is almost completely uninvolved outside of the fact that it was his story on Instagram that Baker said it.
Landry been the most productive/consistent offensive player the last 4 years bar none.... Parker sucks and is immature... that’s a problem. Ajayi has too big a mouth to hold onto. Jarvis just simply plays with fire that gets him into trouble. I’ll take that type of immaturity over both Ajayi and Parker’s style immaturity.
Just checking his messages on social to Dominique Alexander, Blake Bell, Devante Bond, Sam Bradford, Aaron Colvin, Jordan Evans, Jermaine Gresham, Gino Grissam, James Hanna, Tony Jefferson, Lane Johnson, Landry Jones, David King, Gerald McCoy, Stacy McGee, Joe Mixon, Demarco Murray, Corey Nelson, Samaje Perine, Adrian Peterson, Aaron Ripkowski, Sterling Shepard, Donald Stephenson, Charles Tapper, Tyrus Thompson, Tress Way, Dede Westbrook, Daryl Williams, Trent Williams and James Winchester, but nothing.
