"Dolphins hire Jeremiah Washburn as OL coach Posted by Charean Williams on January 4, 2018, 6:45 PM EST Getty Images The Dolphins didn’t need long to hire an offensive line coach. They knew exactly who they wanted when the Bears released their coaches from their contracts. Miami reunited with Jeremiah Washburn, hiring hima year after he left to go to Chicago, Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports. Washburn served as the assistant offensive line coach to Chris Foerster in Miami in 2016 before leaving for the promotion with the Bears. But Foerster was fired in the middle of the 2017 season after a video surfaced of him snorting cocaine in his office. Senior offensive assistant Dave DeGuglielmo, hired when the Dolphins fired Foerster, will not return, via Salguero. Washburn has spent 16 seasons coaching in the NFL, having worked for the Panthers, Lions and Ravens, too." http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2018/01/04/dolphins-hire-jeremiah-washburn-as-ol-coach/
It's premature, so I'm restraining myself, but man I want to do a happy dance. OL coaching improvement is one of the biggest things I wanted to see. Let's go 2018!
On a serious note, these league opinions you posted makes this seem like a good hire. I know his father has a good reputation throughout the NFL of being a hardass. If he had anything to do with the success of Jordan Howard, I'm interested to see if he can get this OL playing like they should be (if only we had a Kyle Long or Josh Sitton).
In fact... why not? Here's a happy dance for those on the left One for those on the right/libertarian: Black guys: Latinos: Asians: White guys: And FinD:
Diagnosing a weakness and turning it into a strength, quickly and decisively. I like it. I like it a lot!
