He's a douchebag. Hope he does get suspended, but I'm sure he'll get a minimal fine, if that since he plays for NE.

Check's logo on helmet; it's still flying Elvis, so no suspension will be dealt.

It’s a guaranteed suspension..the league will see this as an opportunity to show they are not favoring the pats..it’s so obvious they have to or they will look ridiculous.

Umm, but they are favoring the Pats. Didn't you watch the game last week? When your team recovers a fumbled punt and the refs give the Pats the ball "just because", it's pretty obvious they don't worry about looking ridiculous.

As for the hit, I would personally ban the guy for multiple games. An elbow to the back of the player's head when he's already laying flat should get someone the year off....that's completely against everything the league pretends to care for in player safety.

    I
understood but your not getting what I’m saying, I’m saying because they favor the pats, this will be a perfect time to show the world that it’s a figment of our imagination by suspending the guy for a flagrant obvious nfl crime..if they don’t, it will totally indict them and they can’t have that.

Aww... poor Gronk. He apparently had calls go against him for the first time in his life... calls that go against their opponents weekly. Suck it up *****.

OT I might be the only guy in the world that cant stand Gronkowski. The guy has an obnoxious personality, his stories are always lame. And im all for having fun and all but he has an obnoxious side of it, he makes it all about him.

Oh no, you aren't. I can't stand the guy. He's a douchebag. IMO, the league is better off without him. He's a poor image for the league to project, yet they do. Is he gifted and talented? Yes. No doubt. He's just a douche though, and you're right, it's all about him.

My friend had a wedding and the groom is great friends with Gronk (this wedding was actually on bleacher reports news cycle last spring because Gronk was acting a fool there, doing the typical “Gronk” **** that he gets away with) and yea... him and his brothers made that wedding about them...

Him and his brothers were on an episode of Shark Tank not too long ago too pitching a business idea, and of course, it was all about Gronk then too. They're just milking the dumb jock douchebag thing for all its worth, and why its worth something, I'm not sure. It's a detriment to modern sports IMO.

You see so many good stories today about players, their cleats, good causes, players with little kids on the sidelines, etc. etc. then you've got this douchebag recruiting people to his party bus/boats, whatever... talking about himself constantly like the dopey jock, his family is riding on his coattails too, its just... rather mind boggling, until you put it in perspective in modern society in the US, and the world, then it makes sense, sadly.

If I'm the NFL, I suspend him for 4. Because he's going to appeal, and likely win, so at that point, I'd downgrade it to 2.

You can't allow a guy to intentionally take cheap shots, and injure guys, no matter who it is. I'm sure he'll get preferential treatment though.

I love Shark Tank and saw that episode. A few Sharks said to name it after Gronk since it would sell product. The one brother said that he wanted to make it on his own and didn't want to do that, yet he had all his brothers there anyway. It was very ironic to say the least.

I've seen better apologies. But him stupid, so.
I have to say I don't like players acting like babies, but that throwing the flag into the stands made me laugh, especially when the guy who caught it was so excited to have the souvenir. He took a selfie of himself and his buddies with the flag. It may be my favorite football moment this year. I just laughed to hard.

I agree. That was WWF type ****. He could have really injured White.

If the league doesn't suspend Gronk for 4 games I'll be surprised.

My buddy at work, massive patriots homer, who also coaches college football in division iii, is calling me all sorts of names because I don't think a one game suspension is appropriate. He tried to equate the Gronk hit to Kiko on Flacco.

    I hate NE fans.

First, yes totally should be suspended. Nothing like the Kiko hit where the Flacco was using the slide to his benefit. Leave the pocket with the ball get destroyed.

We need to remember that Gronk was out all last year so this doesn't necessarily make the Pats beatable on it's own. It'll help without the idiot cyborg out there though.

Gronk is smarter than we think... I think. He's making cabbage however he can when he can. Who doesn't want to be him for a day? I detest him because he's a Patriot but if he were a Dolphin, he would be our favorite player hands down.

It's not like this was JUST a late hit.

Gronk took 3 steps before using his ARM BRACE as a weapon and drove it into the back of White's helmet while the guy was in a defenseless position on the ground.

I doubt the league suspends as Kraft would have to allow Goddell to do so, but he probably gets a fine and a letter from the league.

It's BS that he wasn't ejected. Last week when MCain was ejected he basically did what Gronk did, but with much less force, malice and in the heat of the moment. Gronk literally jumped up in the air and with all his force drove his metal brace into the back of an unsuspecting players head.

If he's not suspended for 4 games I'll be surprised. Hell, he should be arrested for what he did.

Was thinking the same thing... but a case of the Flying Elvis vs Flopping Fish.

I'll be pleasantly surprised if it's more than a fine and scolding levied against Gronk.

Pretty much all media is saying to suspend him - if the league doesn't there will be definite backlash. As for length, it probably depends on whether the league wants to pretend to be harsh while knowing that an appeal will reduce the length (like a 4 gamer appealed to 2) or if they want to send a message and issue a 1-2 gamer without approving an appeal.

I do wonder if they'd have the guts to keep him on the sideline for that Pitt game. I think there is no way he gets on the field for ours. That was incredibly dirty in so many ways. WAY after the guy was down, clearly targetting the head, clearly using his arm brace as a weapon. And the fact that White actually got concussed? You HAVE to suspend.

    What a disgusting, classless hit.

I gasped audibly when I saw it on replay last night, it was legitimately concerning.

Unfortunately I don't think anyone really thinks a suspension will change NE winning their games - its mostly Belichick and his ability to figure out how to win without Gronk. Most other teams would be affected by a key player being suspended but not the Pats.

What I think it will do is fire up the Patriots a little - especially if they think the punishment was unwarranted. The Patriots get away with a lot and are spoiled because of it. They may think the suspension is unfair and come out next week on fire and score 3 TD with another TE just to prove it doesn't matter.

You look at last year - once Brady was suspended 4 games I figured they would win the superbowl because after winning so many times, you have to find new ways to get fired up and the team playing for Brady and Brady winning is sticking it in the NFL's face.

Plus Gronk will come back fresh and on fire. Especially when the team plays the Bills again - Gronk will want revenge.

    Gronk will want revenge ???

What about the Bills wanting revenge on him ?? They already stated " we play them again", so they're not too happy either.

One game... that's it? I guess it's better than nothing. However, does Gronk appeal? If he does, he's likely to play Sunday, and end up with just a fine.

Hopefully, he does the right thing, realizes he's an idiot, and made a brutal mistake and he takes his suspension like a man.
