The outlook of the board reflects the normal progression of things. Sports isnt an immediate gratification thing and if you need that, rather then criticizing the rest of the board id encourage you to find a board who reacts like the house is on fire everytime something you dont like happens. You compare us to minnesota but what about Green Bay looking like crap without rodgers? What about Indy looking like crap without Luck? Minnesota is a freaking good team! We arent but its talent more then coaching.
Now I get why player are Kneeling. They don't give a crap about the social justice stuff they are praying that someone shows up and doesn't keep embarrassing the team week in and out.
There are multiple threads about it because you and few others won't stop making new threads saying the same thing.
We're not talking about a minor topic here Boik. Look at how many people hit all of these threads. It's the biggest topic. Then each weekend we have a new reason to start another because the suck cement gets even harder. I would like to go on record to say I wish we were better. I hope that goes without saying.
How do you go about doing that by only giving a coach a year and a half or less? One that doesn't have a 1-15 record.
We've been through this. Tannehill isn't Montana. Tannehill isn't even the Dakotas (see what I did there). So if Gase wants to enjoy what Walsh did, he better draft an actual QB that's capable of being top notch.
Soooo are you saying Gase is better then Walsh cause he did better with his first 2 years when he was "stuck" with Tannehill? See what I did there?
Bill Belichick was 41-55 in his first six years in the league, including being 5-11 in his first year with the Patriots before winning his first Super Bowl. He now has five rings.
Tom Landry was 0-11 in his first year with the Cowboys, and 25-53 in his first six years in the league. He didn't win his first Super Bowl until his 12th year in the league, but won two of them and ended up winning 250 games for the Dallas Cowboys.
Ok.....so Tannehill is Brady? See above...or just read one of my other threads for the same answers to the same questions...
Chuck Noll was 1-13 in his first season with the Pittsburgh Steelers, and 12-30 in his first three seasons. He went on to win four Super Bowls.
Bill Parcells was 3-12 in his first season with the Giants, and 12-19 in his first two seasons. He went on to win two Super Bowls before getting old and destroying the Dolphins by hiring Tony Sparano.
Sean Payton came out firing in his first season with New Orleans, posting a 10-6 record with 2 playoff wins. The team then regressed to 7-9 and 8-8 seasons the following two years. Sean Payton clearly should have been fired after such a regression, but instead he won the Super Bowl in his fourth year.
And I'm sure he is doing a better job with what was given to him than you could. He may have final say on the 53 but that doesn't mean he has final say on who comes in before the cuts. I think you're barking up the wrong tree.
Nope. I think there should be an evaluation, but it's definitely not an automatic fire. Unless you also are suggesting that Bill O'Brien, Mike McCarthy, Jason Garrett and Bruce Arians should all also be fired? Look bro, it's been a ****ty, bad feeling season. But the loss of Tannehill (and this is coming from a guy saying we should move on from him) has been way understated here. Combine that with the hurricane junk, the lack of a bye, assistants doing coke. This is not the season to throw up your hands and go "WELL, GASE FOR SURE SUCKS!" It's possible after a thorough review we come to that conclusion, but saying that kind of thing right now? It's hysterics, plain and simple.
What if I told you how much it pisses off the entire forum and discourages people from joining? And I have proof of both. And the problem isn’t the threads themselves, it’s that they contain little substance, are little more then hot takes with very little to actually discuss other then continue complaining along with the OP. And when solutions are actually offered it reads more like fantasy football.
John Denney is a baller, hell yah you should RESPECT IT!!! And let's not forget the role of Orange in the Aqua Teal debate. Its a debate that has no merit whatsoever, the official color is Aqua. Teal is for Jags. Kinda like the fire Gase debate. Kinda like comparing Gase to Cameron. Both HC's of the Dolphins (shades of green on the color wheel) But completely different colors. I understand frustration and all, but it's just silly to compare the two. Silly. I was at ground level for what should have been Camerons last game. I saw with my own two eyes how the men on this team reacted to his Coaching.
the outlook from you is kneejerk reaction. I'll take the patience route. ALl of the best franchises show patience. The terrible ones overreact.
the problem is you think any change is likely to be positive, when in fact, our track record shows that these overreactionary moves usually result in the same crap.
I would guess that anyone joining a Dolphins fan forum right now is doing it specifically to complain about how bad we are.
