This team should go ahead and play Fales. Winning the rest of our games , or a few, does nothing for us in the evaluation process. During this losing streak, and the two games against the NYJ and Saints was enough evaluation on what this team needs. There is a simple solution, they need an injection of personnel. They have some salaries to shed, some free agents to get, trades to make, but most important, they need top of the draft picks. And that is an injustice to this team. I am hoping a bunch of these teams with 3-5 wins, can bump us up with some wins. 4 wins gets us in top 5. I think the Browns , NYG and 49ers have the first two locked up. Would love to secure that 4 spot or 5 spot. Need Chic, NYJ and Indy to win. But that will be hard
I agree. But, I'm sure Gase sees some harsh writing on the wall so, he'll be playing for his job. It'll be just enough to goof up our draft pick and get 2 more meaningless wins. Yippee. Which will be just enough to cause confusion that he's turned it around so we can turn our crappy '17 year into a crappy '18 year with year 6 of the dammit one day he'll actually be good T-Hill project.
I'm sure guys like Jarvis Landry playing for a contract and young players playing for their future are just going to say "Yeah, let's lose out!". It doesn't work like that. This isn't your Madden franchise. Until they are officially eliminated from any playoff possibility nobody in the organization is thinking of that.
If landry sat out the remainder of the year he would still get paid in FA that wont matter to him or his future, but to others possibly. But there I no reason to win anymore games I am officially calling us out of the playoffs. We wont beat Denver or Pats in the next 2 weeks so what the point of winning 3 and missing the playoffs and drafting 14th
