Teams run a fake punt typically because they've seen something on film study of our punt block formations that leads them to believe we're vulnerable to something. Clearly that's the case. Coaches don't call fake punts for ****s and giggles, or to "be aggressive". They're called by coaches who KNOW they'll have high success because of what they've seen. That's got nothing to do with going for it from your own 33. Sure, the defense hasn't shown they can stop them, but the offense hasn't shown they can do anything either. So, I'm not sure what point there is here other than to complain.
A guy like you telling anyone to learn the game is completely comical. Punting is the only call there, unless you have a crafty fake, but teams like NE don't get beat by those often.
Why is half of our D playing zone and the others man. That's three times now, Tankersley with two in the first, now howard
there is a bigger issue. they are 4-6 and going no where. you have to shorten the game. last week they failed to get a yard on three downs. But hey, Gase said they were GOOD at the line this Summer.
If the officials didn't hand NE the ball after the punt this would be a different ball game. One of the worst calls ever imo...
It would not be a different game. We would have gotten a field goal at most and new England would have scored in their next possession. Please don't blame this game on a refs call.
HAHAHA What's hilarious, is you want to point out sarcasm to me, while failing to see my own use of it. That's some of that there competence for you, eh?
This is embarrassing not only from the score but class too. We have had so many penalties lately with a lot being personal fouls. Now we get ejected for throwing punches. We have no leadership at all on any level of this team.
In watching this again, Moore threw to the outside shoulder, but for some moronic reason Parker is looking inside. Why, I have no freakin' clue. The whole reason to throw to the outside shoulder is to avoid both guys trailing inside from the secondary. Instead Parker turns inside late and gives himself no shot to even make a play.
I for one, love all that new energy out there with Moore starting though. Good thing these guys play harder for him.
