Look more than likely he won't be fired. I think two things will happen: 1. someone in the from office loses their job 2. Gase will have to formulate the vision of this team and convince Ross how long it will take and why The x factor in this whole thing is what happens with Harbaugh. MI loses again makes it interesting
I'm not going to deal with the rest of the whining you were doing. SHOW ME where you have backed up anything you said on this thread. You never give stats. You say things like "The O-line has improved" when I break down the Line's performance vs. last year, you had nothing to say. Your soul purpose on this forum is to debate what people like myself say. If I say it's blue you say it's red and you do it in your patented snarky piss in my cheerios way. Dirty, myself and a couple others start threads to get conversation going. What do you contribute? If being on this forum is solely to joust with you on each and every post they might as well ban me anyway. We want to talk about what we're seeing from the team we love. You have no opinion except to disagree with those taking their time to start threads with our opinions. What do you want to talk about? Tell me.
THat's how losing teams do it. Would like to see us act like winners as opposed to Gase suddenly explaining how it wasn't his roster. Hope that's not the case.
I know you are passionate about this. But I'm going to ask you a tough question, who is your solution for a replacement? I just don't see a guy out there and maybe for the sake of continuity, that trumps firing someone???
WTF are you talking about? Where have you provided any of that in this thread or any other? You didn't break down a single performance, online, QB, RB, or even the effing long snapper. Yes, the sole purpose of the forum is debate...you don't debate. You proclaim X, base it off of emotion then rage and insult everyone who asks for more actual real discussion. It's like when you're on your alt as Dirty Landry, and you lost your **** just because people were asking for links to the quotes they were providing. You will be banned. It will happen cause you're the worst kind of poster....emotionally driven with an ego so big they don't realize they know nothing about the topics they're discussing. That ego makes you think you're not doing anything wrong.
yeah ask to ban him because you can't win an argument. LOL Ricky brings the reality to the situation. this team has been mediocre for 25 years. he doesn't defend BS from this team. but it still makes him a fan
I tried. but #2, you saying Gase has no ego again makes me stop reading. the guy doesn't host his own show. he thinks he can get linemen off the street. he thought Tannehill would be the only qb to avoid surgery. His offseason was propping up former players in Thomas, Cutler, and Larsen. 0 productivity
We usually have 1 common denominator in these threads that get out of hand, so next time someone cries about the main's "sucking"? It doesn't take Perry Mason to figure out why. Enjoy the arse kicking today gent's.
Again, you keep acting like Gase does all of this alone. Team doctors, Gase, and Tannehill himself all thought he'd be okay. People with medical degrees and everything. Don't put that on Gase, that's ridiculous. I don't get why you constantly throw Cutler and Thomas out there as bad moves. Cutler was obviously desperation and in a perfect world never would've happened. Thomas cost us nothing. Taking a flyer on him wasn't a bad move. He isn't good but we didn't trade a 1st for him. We should've done more at guard, sure.
Coming to the main page (been in the special board, i know the truth) and seeing the same icon nearly all the way down the messages tells you one thing. Just good to note it hasn't infested other boards, though it's tried.
Your stance mandates that there is no good reason to be 5-11. If a coach goes 5-11, he should be fired, no questions, else there's a loser mentality. So it doesn't matter if there's issues beyond the coaches' power or if the car is out of gas or if the coach is to blame for everything....just fire him.
I answered that post when you made it. I pointed out you didn't understand what I said. It is obvious you still don't. Now once (or if) you realize what timeframe I was specifically talking about then we can start addressing the other problems with what you wrote, like the assumption that sacks are a constant which can be extrapolated or how Gase specifically pointed out the problems with protection were Ajayi (and how now that Jay is gone the protection was better). Then when we get all that squared away, we can then start talking about how you said you made points in THIS thread. You didn't...Landry did, so i'm curious if you got confused by which screen name you were on at that moment.
Considering he led the team to the playoffs last year and Tannehill missed the entire season, he will not be fired, no matter what the teams record is this season. That being stated, I really still have no idea if he is the long term answer for the Dolphins or not. Because the real issue for the team is the front office with Tannebaum and Grier and their inability to provide a roster with quality talent. As long as Tannebaum is running football operations, this team will be no better than mediocre at best. He has absolutely no idea how to build a roster for the long term and as long as Ross keeps Tannebaum in his position, Gase will continue to be stuck with a roster with limited talent. Therefore his tenure as the Dolphins head coach will not last long because Tannebaum will convince Ross, Gase is the problem, not his own inability as head of football operations. Take a clueless owner and a clueless head of football operations and you have the Miami Dolphins. Even Don Shula in his prime would fail with the lack of talent throughout this roster.
How do I not understand how the Oline is better when the stats dictate that it is indeed worse. Back your stance up with facts. Not fabri-cobbled half thoughts you think you think from watching the game. The O Line is worse this year than last year FACT FROM STATS SUPPLIED. So no matter what your magic 8 ball tells you, the actual performance is allowing our QB's to get sacked more often and lose more yards from the sacks they have allowed. There is no definition for hurried so that can't be relevant. Quit arguing just to argue. Dirty Landry is his own guy on the other side of Florida from me. We just both equally take umbrage with your general tone and argumentative/needless retorts.
it is clear and evident what a good line looks like. when we went from 1-4 to 7-4, we saw good, solid Oline play. I will say their pass protection has gotten better. And that is evident by the stats in recent weeks. Look, we are struggling in the trenches, it is cleared evident
I qualified what time frame i was talking about. I'm not convinced you've understood it. You show me you understand, we'll move forward.
Miami is 29th in rushing. The top 4 teams are Jax,Dallas, Philly and Saints. We all know the personnel in Dallas, I showed in a prior post the offseason the Eagles had and The Saints have had a successful draft and trades in recent years. Miami's offensive line sucks. What more proof you need? The penalties last week?
???? No, what you replied under your Dirty alias doesn't address what i said at all in the post of mine you quoted.
I just spoke to James. Like I told him, and like we laughed at you a lot in our convo, he uses words and thoughts I could never imagine. Looks like you feel you are picked on. However, we just have the same feelings about your posts
Seriously what delusional crap are you talking about? You made a post under the wrong account and just got caught, now you're going on about other made up stuff.
I will choose to fire Tannenbaum and Gase, because I have no excuses for the offensive scheme. That is not the type of offense I want or think is most effective. Tannenbaum should be self-explanatory and I am shocked there is not more heat on him already. If I could only choose one I'd choose Tannenbaum and strip Gase of the OC job.
Tannenbaum has destroyed this team just like he did in newyork.Holes almost everywhere. We need a Gm or its going to be a longtime before we sniff playoffs again Anybody have any ideas who we could get?
Whist I agree a lot with FinD, However, at this point, I am not happy with Gase. He has made some serious f ups and misjudgements. - Insisting to go with Cutler was a mistake. He has this thing with Cutler and just couldn't see the big picture. Cutler was a mistake. He was never really great to begin with and he had the one decent year with Gase. The guy was committed to retirement. Right there is a big problem. Cutler had already committed to quit playing the game. That is not good. Gase should have just committed himself to working a lot with Moore or heck, even Fales. Cutler was just a waste, but he was insistent on rolling with him. There was no real benefit. Thinking he could get far with him and insistent on signing and rolling with him was, in fact, a mistake. - I also don't like how he doesn't show the character to take any blame and puts it all on the players. What great coach does that? You always hear coaches saying things like; "It was on me. I coached a bad game. I have to do better", etc, etc, etc. He seems to have some ego, insecurity and character issues. - He doesn't seem to be able to get a feel of the team and make the proper adjustments. He doesn't make good halftime adjustments. He did last year, but not this year. - He doesn't seem to have a stamp on the entire team. - His play calling is highly suspect. - His specialty of being a QB guru is highly bogus. Yeah, he's working wonders with his boy Cutler and now with Moore. Does not look good. Sorry. There is also a lot more to being a good coach than just having a specialty of one position. You have to have a full knowledge and grasp of every position. - He doesn't seem to instill any kind of confidence or fight in the players. _ The crazy amount of penalties always falls on the coach and their lack of preparedness. - Last, but not least; I hated the way he spoke to Marino on that one clip that was going around where he was zinging Marino on his acting abilities. Yes, we know Marino is not a good actor, but it was just the dicky kind of, ****ing with him, kind of way he spoke to him. Be a bit more humble dude. At least Marino is a football god in Miami and one of, if not the best QB ever. What's he done? I'm not throwing in the towel on him just yet. I would like to see him have a full year with a healthy Tannehill. However, thus far, I am not very impressed.
I’m guessing you like evaluating almost anybody by their W/L record but I don’t see Gase ever going 10-6 or better again without a guy like Ajayi. I don’t see what value he’s added to the organization.
