Why not give Doughty a few games to see what he can do, otherwise what's the point of having him on the practice squad for nearly 2 years now - worst case scenario is a high draft pick, best case scenario, we get to see if he's worth investing more time on. Otherwise, get Fales in again - it can't be worse, can it?
That won't happen until Dolphins are totally eliminated and I still don't think it will happen. Gase has too much ego for that. What should be happening in these blowouts is for Doughty to get some snaps, but they are not even dressing him out.
If not for the horrible officiating we would have pummeled the Bucs something like 30-10 and the conversation would be much different right now in my opinion.
Totally agree with that re giving him some snaps at the end of the game - what's the worst that can happen.
bubble screen left, bubble screen right... he is working on a over the middle bubble screen to really fool the defenses.
Havent read the whole thread so apologies if this has been covered.. but did anyone think we moved away from passing to backs in the backfield too soon? Gase said in his presser that Tampa took that away hence the switch but I don’t recall Tampa doing so? Granted in the 2nd half we went more vertical when Moore came in as we were chasing the game, we seemed to be in 3rd and long many times after crappy runs up the gut. I remember thinking at the time why aren’t we offloading to drake and Williams here as it had been working first half. Anyone know if Tampa sold out on stopping those plays or if Gase simply went away from it?
everyone sells out on us on check downs and bubble screen that's why we are so easily guarded with he run.
