F YES DIRTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! f your 5-5 Harvard gets in that @$$ we go 4-6 hahahahahahahah jk
if we could score I would be confident going into any game lol but its hard to be confident scoring as much as a computer nerd in the middle of a frat party
Bills just benched Tyrod Taylor and will start the rookie Nathan Peterman against the Chargers: http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/21422733/buffalo-bills-start-nathan-peterman-quarterback I bet Buffalo will lose more games now than with Taylor. As weird as it seems after such a devastating (but still expected) loss against the Panthers, we're still (barely) in the hunt for that last lowly playoff spot. All teams we play except NE are struggling, all other 4-5 teams in the AFC are doing poorly, and the only team above us in the WC hunt just made a move that might lead to more losses. Not yet giving up on this season.
this will be for 1 game for some reason im sure there is beef between taylor and the coach or whatever, taylor is 20 times better than Peterman.
you maybe right, but they still have a long shot for the playoffs and I doubt Peterman can do it but who knows lol
Have no fear folks, we got this one wrapped up. Its the Dolphins way...to lure us back in with a good performance right about now .....get to 5-5...start having playoff scenarios dance in our heads...and then WHAM!!! the reality hammer comes down again bashing us right in the head. Like clockwork, if you will .
Like this team in general. In fact last year they showed promise...got our hopes up to have something to build on... and here we go again, floating around in same old mediocre boat.
That I agree with. Still happy we're not like the Bills with 17 consecutive years of no playoff appearances, or like the Browns (no description needed). Minor consolation I know but some teams do have it a lot worse.
Pfft. If we win it's meaningless as we cant beat the pats once let alone twice and we need a miracle to win in Arrowhead. So lets say maybe we win the rest. That would have us 8-8. Yippee. Just average enough to have a crap draft pick and keep Gase so we can be average again next year. Thats why I watch sports...mediocrity.
well seeing how espn analysts are cracking jokes about Miami we are slowly but surely getting on the browns level hahah
I hear what you're saying but I'm sick of thinking " not as bad as( insert bad team here)", I want to be able to say " we're as good as( insert quality team here)".
how bout we don't say either as bad as or as good as, just say we are the M******IN Dolphins and people go DAMN!!!! that's the freakin response I want to feel before I am dead.
that's because that man in your pic was running a no ish taking team, now we just take whatever these guys wanna do and say ok youll b better next yr lol
Come on, that's not fair at all- is that what this team said last year? Is that what Gase said today to the media? (if you missed it, he said the season is far from over and they will be in the playoff race despite the tough schedule ahead) In any case, I don't think they're just taking whatever people want to do- Ajayi would still be here if that was the case. They're trying to turn it around and the players haven't given up...you shouldn't either.
I wasn't really saying that as to be an accurate statement I was being facetious just talking, don't take everything so literal lol
If we do this: Beat Tampa, Denver, sweep Bills and win won of the three vs NE and KC.. The Phins have an 82% chance of getting a WC spot. Thats far from impossible.
That sounds intuitively correct, but where did you get the exact number? Can you link to the simulator? I'd like to see what method they use. For example, NY Times has a simulator here: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive...mia-den-13=win&buf-mia-15=loss&mia-buf-17=win and the probabilities come out to be in the mid 80% for the scenario you mention. Thing is.. none of these simulators are really that accurate at this stage because of the astronomical number of possibilities, but the ball-park figure of 80%-90% or so for the scenario you suggest does seem right.
It was the NYT Playoff Simulator you spoke of. I think it boils down to this being a really soft AFC WC year...sometimes we just have these crazy seasons like this..like Gase said..much of the AFC is a disaster right now.
Cool. Yeah, just so people understand why the number is that high, it's because we're assuming the Dolphins finish 5-2 while the other 4-5 teams in the AFC (Raiders and Ravens) are implicitly being assumed by the simulator to finish no better than they've played so far (i.e. most likely a 3-4 finish or less likely a 4-3 finish, but with almost zero probability a 5-2). And by sweeping the Bills we're taking care of the only other team remaining. So that's why the number is that high. In any case, like you said this is not unreasonable. And also KC is struggling (lost 3 of last 4) so I'm not at all giving up hope at this juncture.
Makes watching the games from here on out a lot more intense..lol. Every week is almost a playoff game from here on out.
No, but it becomes increasingly more difficult. The only way we can hang after that point, IMO, is if the rest of the AFC continues to stink.
20-17 Miami we get a pick 6 by Jones, Williams has a good game and the rise of Julius Thomas Go PHINS!!!
If we’re going to be a 500 or sub 500 team let’s just lose out get a good draft pick and an easier schedule next year. I’m tired of proving we’re good enough I’d be happy if we beat a bunch of parapalegics at this point. I’d seriously like them to start some rookies and see what we got
The offense is slowly coming around. If the defense finds it's early season groove again we could win big this sunday. Dolphins 31-10
Dolphins ( 4 - 5 ), at home against the Buccs ( 3 - 6 ). We opened as 3 point favorites now its Buccs - 1. What a joke. Neither team is playing well and to have the line move 4 solid points (which is huge ), in favor of TB is mind boggling. If we dont win this game by double digits I'll be shocked. I'm not a blind homer by any means and I criticize when called for but we better own this one before the final minutes of the game.
Because we have talent and its about damn time they show it. A better question is why are the Buccs favored in this game when they havent won on the road all season.
In real life, this is the best way to approach things to be grateful for what you have but want more. In the NFL, where winning is the only thing, I’m not gonna compare to the 2 franchises worse than us.
