dude, you have a straight up fundamental misunderstanding of how NFL contracts work and why certain players are paid higher than others and how this interacts with the salary cap. continue enjoying your ignorance. You'll see this offseason that Kirk Cousins will be paid at least like a top 3 QB in the league. It has nothing to do with him actually being close to a top 3 QB in this league. My entire point is that paying him that money when you have Tannehill under contract for only 19 million or so and would have to eat 4 million if you cut him on top of the salary of 30+ million that cousins is going to get is a stupid use of salary cap space for a fairly small difference in skills between cousins and tannehill.

I see we are arguing different points I see your side about paying cousins and eating rt cap, what I am saying is your going to keep eating RT salary based of what could be, at least with cousins you can do like Houston with osweiler and see what hes about right away if he don't pan out then you can ship him out, when does it become enough time to know rt hasn't panned out he has 1 good year in 5, if you ask me cousins has shown more improvement in the same amount of time all around, from reading defenses to audible to line shifts than RT has done. and that could be a lot on the OC changes etc, but im saying I will take cousins on my team over RT and if we put RT on the trade blocks right now who do you think would trade for him? compared to cousins answer me that?

 

Cousins would come with huge cap hits that this team cant afford. IT has nothing to do with who has more trade value, it is about allocation of resources. And Tannehill is a better value, and just about as good of a player, as Cousins is, and he would come for nearly 15 million less if you take into account the tannehill cap hit.

 

well seeing how we paid cutler 10 mill for just as good as a player as moore i guess thats the running talley in miami is to do things not rational.

not at all, im merely saying when has this team made a good decision with the slue of bad contracts we have we make it pretty much impossible to let guys go and bring in new guys. so we have no choice. But i have seen Rt for 5 years and nothing exciting i would try for someon else behind it trade or release RTand go for Jimmy G or someone like that
