"Dolphins" is trending on twitter and its basically people wondering how they won 4 games and how it sums up how terrible the NFL (specifically the AFC) is this season. And people saying the Browns would actually win a game if they played Miami.
wins in the first half can be surprising. If Miami played those teams now, they would lose. Good Teams , this time of the year, beat lesser teams. Miami plays a lot of good teams coming up. Miami just doesn't have the talent to compete with those teams. Maybe it is not personnel, but scheme. Maybe it is not scheme, but personnel?
I would say they have enough talent, if they didn't people wouldn't be trading for our guys lol after last night I literally think its gase, his scheme and plays and thought process are really unreal, like im still sitting there this morning wondering how the f that happened. you haven't thrown the ball down field and with 47 seconds you throw it and it was so off target Kuechly was shocked as it was at his facemask not the sideline I mean Jesus what's the rationality going into the locker room down 3 was positive if you ask me, and by that pick you lost the D with your stupidity.
I know we are beating this up, but this team lost its way in the offseason. I know LB's and corners are getting lit, but I think this team lacks the talent as a unit on both lines and qb. First of all, Hankins and Williams were free agents. I know there was money invested in Suh, but good teams find a way to make a splash here esp after 3 straight bad run defense seasons. This was a direct way to stop the run. Known run stuffers, this was their specialty. In the offseason, they missed big time at QB. I don't even care about surgery or not anymore. Despite that, your qb had a knee problem. Why not draft a qb? Why not have a good problem on the team? In the prior seasons, look what teams did with Wentz, Mariota, and Goff. You have to take the risk. In addition, there was no help on the line. They played well last year, but that line was a shell of itself towards the end of the year. WE KNEW HOW IMPORTANT IT WAS FOR WINS FROM THE LINE, BUT THEY CHOSE TO IGNORE.
Dude I couldn't have said it more accurate, someone sitting there had to realize RT was not the long haul Qb and someone had to realize the needs on the line, sometimes you have to as you put it to risk it, I mean jesus look how many qbs the rams browns a lot of teams have had, at some point if you keep trying your going to hit one like the eagles and rams finally did, both them guys made more progress in a year than rt did in 5. One thing I give the eagles credit for is brining in some of wentz plays form college to make it easier on him and the dude is playing unbelievable, then we have a coach bringing in colleges plays that don't work and no one knows lol. there are a lot of issues, and I would take a shot on draft busts rather than bg names with big contracts and not be utilized, everyone knows all they have to do is double suh and chip wake and they have all day to throw. That's why I said this yr I wouldn't go crazy on trying to get a qb, I would try and boost that O-line im talking 3 picks in the first 40 to get lineman and see if RT can come out of it, I don't see any qb in this class besides Mayfield who is going to strive in the nfl
I think Miami has to have a 2-3 year plan. I prefer 2. I had a post earlier on how to get $70M under the cap. With this money, I believe they should trade up for a qb AND sign someone short term. You nailed it, Goff and Wentz have done more for their franchises than Tannehill has. I think free agents and more picks should fortify the trenches. In year 2, after your qb has experience and feels comfortable behind a line, as well as the ability to stop the run, you start building pieces in the 2nd and 3rd levels. Miami has a ton of bad contracts, guys can't get cut because there are no cap savings.
i was having a conversation with phin18 on another thread about cousins beinf a free agent, i would even go for jimmy g and drop RT, we have seen 5 years of rt its itm eto move on, i agree the line in the draft and i would go for a FA QB.
I want a one year plan. I'm tired of waiting. Going to have been a fan for 40 years as of 2019. Why cant we field a playoff winning team next year. Explain it to to me why we can't turn this thing around going into next year. I don't believe it.
