http://miamiherald.typepad.com/dolphins_in_depth/2008/08/dolphins-tell-h.html Apparently the younger receivers are beginning to win the staff's trust. This quote especially caught my eye as a surprising point: Even more valuable now that we don't have media/public access to practice anymore.
Well thats good. No Horn. I would have preferred him over Glenn, but at the end of the day Id prefer we gave all these young guys a shot instead. So this is good news to me. Going to get very interesting in the next little while as to which of our WR's stays, and which go...
I said it in another thread, I like this armstrong kid. When watching the Jags game, I was thinking, this guy on the TV looks like he's playing as fast or even *gasp* faster than Ginn. I'm not saying he's faster (is he?) but he looks damn speedy on the field. Of course he's playing scrubs but still.
this actually makes me happy. If Horn can only muster 250+ yards of receiving on a team where there really aren't many good WRs outside of Roddy White, what makes you think he's going to shine here, being another year older? he's too loud off the field to justify bringing him here - you don't want a d-bag mentoring your young guys anyway. Armstrong is interesting... he's doing everything we thought Ginn was going to do last year. Ginn is now just becoming a good receiver, not really a deep-threat guy like we'd all hoped. no matter, armstrong can be the deep guy.
