with ajayi everyone knew that he was the focal point and they stacked the box because cutler is garbage, and last night the raiders had no idea what we were going to do by getting rid of him so the holes where there because they had to play straight up, the rb played sub par IMO if ajayi had those holes those guys had last night you would be saying ajayi was great last night. its not hard to realize that the raiders didn't stack the box because our rb aren't great they will deal with it Williams and drake both fall easily ajayi doesn't so no need to stack the box and hit em early. 80 yards with the best holes all year I would say was a very poor performance for 2 rb.

But Ajayi did have those holes....they've been there all freaking year and he wouldn't take them. That's why he's no longer a Dolphin. As I've said 50 times here since week 2, just watch the tapes and look at the line instead of the RB...they'll show you where the play was supposed to go. And that's just not where Ajayi was going.

His big TD this weekend with Philly? It was a power sweep play and Ajayi hit the correct hole. That's what happens when you have the correct play called and you follow your blockers.....the line got Ajayi the first 70 there and he earned those last few yards on his own at the goalline. Most RB's in the league would have had a TD there though because the blocking was off the charts good....he had a lineman 15 yards downfield sealing off the strong safety.

Again, that's what happens when you run the play that's called and work with your offensive line...sometimes big plays happen. We saw it with Drake last night as well.

all I seen was ajayi getting hit before he got to the line, and you can blame ajayi all you want for "not hitting" holes it seemed to work last yr. 80 yards between 2 rb is big plays to you? go ahead and blame the penalties but guess what its part of the game most of the time big plays come back because of holding that's how it goes sometimes holding springs for big plays and sometimes they don't get called. its how the game is played. at the end of the day 2 guys had 80 yards and ajayi had 77 and when there's a hole he hit it and ive never seen a hole that big in Miami all yr until last night, just saying

Everybody forgets Ajayi was the best in the league against stacked boxes. There’s only so much you can do when you’re the only thing the opposing defense has to hone in on.

Be honest. How many times have you looked for holes when the RB wasn't running through them? For most people here, the answer is zero...they don't watch the linemen. And I completely get that...only former/current linemen actually watch the line.

I'm telling you though (as is the coaching in Miami) that the holes have been there all year long. Not like the power sweep in Philly mind you because that was on another level, but there have been gaps to bang out 2, 3, and 5 yards a carry. I can't say what would have happened at the 2nd level because Ajayi never got there, but I have to believe he'd side-step some LB's and make some huge runs. It is impossible though if you don't hit the hole to begin with....Ajayi was running to where our linemen were pushing their blocks and it was his own fault for not listening to Gase.

As I said, pick any game this season and just watch the line on run plays. The holes were there.....but Ajayi wasn't in them.
