I think farve is gonna do just fine in NY, anyone who questions a hall of fame player that can still play and who also has a major chip on his shoulder, is dumb. He also compared stats which is even more silly
I dont know what inextricably means, but he's right about Chad picking up the offense. I also think Favre will find out how much Driver, Jennings, Jones> Cotchery, Coles, Smith
your right two years ago he sure didnt, i myself questioned his decision making, but last year he showed me the focus you need at QB, i guess he knew they had the talent so he stepped up his concentration. Now you know hes gonna be completely focused in his new situation, has anyone ever had more to prove then Brett Farve this year. That scares me....you?
Naw it isnt especially if you watched Favre in 05 and 06. You are buying into hype big time if you are willing to ignore that
I think that at some point, Father Time will catch up to Favre...will it be this season ?? Don't know...has he shown any signs of losing his edge...no...but at 39 yrs old how much longer can he do it... Pennington can only be hampered by injury at this point. Will that happen this season...don't know... As to learning the systems, Favre has a bit of a disadvantage coming from a full blown WCO to the jests..but that shouldn't hamper him too much...the only thing I can say is that, in the past, with much less talented players involved, the transistion from the WCO to the vertical offense has been difficult for those making that transition...How that really affects Favre, we'll just have to wait and see... Pennington is a student of the game, more so than Favre so his transition will take less time and less will be expected of him as well. No one see this team even getting to the playoffs, but with Favre and the big time FA spending that the Jests did...a lot is expected of them...that could make it more difficult for Favre...
No. First, I don't agree with the premise. He's a first-ballot Hall of Famer even if he's the worst quarterback in the history of the NFL this year. He's still going to go all out, but just because he's like that, not because he's got anything to prove. Second, no matter how good he is, he's one of 53 players on the Jets. And he's not even the best quarterback in the division.
I think we got the better quarterback given the position we find our team in. Were New York ready to win with Pennington? I don't know, and I honestly don't know that they are a better team now.
I think they're a better team now with Favre than Pennington. I think Favre alone gives them a couple extra wins. I had them winning six or seven games prior to the Favre acquisition but now I can see them winning nine games or possibly ten.
hard to really know for sure. i'll take favre over chad though. I wish chad all the success I can muster up for him though. He is all class for sure. I don't think he's injury prone at all like many others do. I think he's had some bad luck though. I will tell you this though, it ain't much fun watchin games without the deepball threat
