being here in Socal im a huge Angels fan and in 2002 when they won the world series and almost went on strike i went to 60+ home games (not a season ticket holder) The stands were never packed until we won the ALDS you couldn't find a ticket which pissed me off cuz i supported them all yr and i should have been one to have the tickets. I would assume South Florida is the same if Miami makes the playoffs and gains some ground on a home game i would assume the seats wont be empty.
I don't live in Miami so bleep you. But also, even the Stubhub pricing is rather high comparably. Ticket prices need to come down.
Owners make their money from TV Deals. If you can't sell out the stadium, the prices are too high. I was able to attend a Dolphins game in Buffalo last year in the lower bowl for $10. Granted the home team was out of contention. Why does that not happen in Miami anymore? The NFL isn't a gate driven league. Why else would the Chargers and Rams go to LA, where they don't really have any fan base to speak of?
Just from a listening to the crowd noise on TV perspective, the Jets game was the loudest I can recall hearing a Dolphins home crowd since the Orange Bowl days.
I used to love watching the Dolphins and the U in the Orange Bowl! That had to be one of the unsafest stadiums ever built the way it would sway several feet in any given direction.
the fans were not loud until the entire defense urged them to stand and scream, literally all 11 guys..they finally responded and the defense rewarded them.. it was loud then.. and folks wonder why we are such a slow starting team at home..
