"Nice try, pufferfish. Matt Moore is not starting. Jay is our starter."

"Every player just needs to do their job. Execute. Some plays it's one guy not sustaining his block. Other plays we can't get out of the huddle. The calls are good. Stop killing this AMA's rhythm. Thanks for your question."

"Is that what you saw out there? I haven't had a chance to watch the film. I think Tank and X handled themselves well all week for young players. I have confidence in them. Also, Jay Cutler is not the problem."

Do you feel bad that Sean McVay has stole your thunder and has Jared Goff playing good football? Is he the whisperer? Why are you failing? Do you feel awkward in a dressing room with Kenny Stills? Can we talk about the protest? Is Matt Burke the MF man or what.

"Anytime you get breakdowns at any level, be it special teams, defense, or offense with the players, position coaches, and up the chain -- I mean guys are all putting their heads down here, doing the work. We know who we are. You don't have to understand. Outside these walls. You don't. There's a lot of moving parts. With that other stuff, about me and Jay, me and Kenny, kneeling and so on. I am going to keep that in house."

Coach, what did Jay Cutler do well today?

"Jay did exactly what I asked. You're looking in the wrong place. Jay's not the problem. We'll come in Monday and look at the film but Jay the last thing you need to worry about. J-A-Y is N-O-T the P-R-O-B-L-E-M. Great question."

Coach, do you think that throwing the ball past the line of scrimmage might result in positive yardage?

Are you refusing to play good football in order to protest the fact that the media is too busy talking about protests to focus on what a great QB coach you are supposed to be. ?

Why so many 1st and 2nd down screen passes coach? Wouldn't it make more sense just to punt it on 2nd down and keep your players fresh for the next series?

Which down in your opinion is the best time to throw Jarvis Landry a screen behind the line?

What do you think about the recent video posted of your O-Line coach doing lines before your team meetings?

"Sometimes that's just us getting guys involved. Good things happen when we get our guys touches. But the forward pass is a risk we look at. Rizz is in here late at night breaking down all those forward passing scenarios. I really lean on him for those numbers -- I get a chart from him on gameday with all the values. So when we are in 1st and 15, or a 2nd and 32 on our own 7, when is the optimal time to lose minimal yards. So I feel confident about our preparation and decision tree there. "

"You have to give the other team's coaches and players credit. Sometimes they're rolling coverage the direction we wanted to go, and we have to check out of a play. Other times Jay sees something at the line. Those 11 guys on the other side get paid too. They're in this league for a reason. The looks we get can take us off schedule and end up forcing you into play calls you didn't necessarily, ideally want. Our players, our training staff, do a great job keeping them fresh. Conditioning. Our snap counts. A lot goes into it. But Matt is doing a great job and he has been winning that field position battle well for us so punt or pass, we feel good about it. "

"You have an idea of how you want it to look. We come in with 20-25 plays scripted to start the game, maybe only 20 of which are screens to Jarvis. Makes it tough when you're goin' 3 and out, you may not get through your 25 scripted until deep into the second quarter maybe -- so it pushes some things off the table. But, getting some good eye in the sky looks of their defensive formations against various alignments of Jarvis taking a screen gives us 15-20 looks to adjust off of. With changes at the line that Jay can make, moving a block inside or outside, flipping, you could have up to 4-6 variations there so we are looking at anywhere from 60-120 variations of Jarvis on the screen for that defense to worry about in the second half. The one thing you don't want is to get backed up onto your own goalline to where, you just have no more ground to give up there so it makes it tough to execute it the way we draw it up, but we have a few designed packages for Jarve gettin' the screen down there too. The screen is featured in our playbook. It's not going away. Fans and defensive co-ordinators facing us better just deal with it."

"That's a matter for internal investigation with the Sheriff's Department. I can't comment. The guys in the offensive line unit will take it hard. I mean, that's their guy there. He's responsible for their success so it's definitely going to be felt. He is a high energy guy, so that will be missed."
