So not much action in the acquisition dept yesterday. Think we will see some excitement today and if so who ? any surprises ?

    TJ gone
    talk on Boone
OL should be on the list wonder about Dorian Johnson * is he injured or any good ?
    LB wouldn,t hurt ?
    reliable DB too.....

Also might be interesting who also gets released after a team picks up another...

With the amount of undrafted free agent rookies we retained, I doubt we'll see very much activity. Gase is building this team for long term success, not short term.

Maybe Boone. Outside of that, nothing else sounds intriguing to me.

As long as he's not under the impression of making it, long term to build the team, like the last 15 years, and have to admit a little short term success wouldn't hurt either...

Im feeling a trade today for some reason .....(I'd liked that Mycal Kendricks from the eagles)
and Im NOT trading Landry !!!!!

So Boone wouldn't take a pay cut, but the Vikes gave him $3M to walk?

Does anyone know what happened there? Injury, underperformance, etc.?

Now is the time to be aggressive. Churn the weak players for potential from the cuts. We have a short window to win the Super Bowl with Jay Cutler (2 years - THIS is the year). Go all in. We have a lot of great young talent. DO IT NOW!!!

John Greco, JJ Dielman...i think both are better than Jake Brendel.

Of course he's not looking at a 15 year plan. That's just plain silly, but I do think he's looking at building young so in the next 3 years, WE are the next New England Patriots or...the Dolphins of the early 70's.

A 15 year plan is silly,
Didn't say he was on a 15 year plan. Just 15 years of being on that 3 year plan has kind of shaken my confidence to the core...

I do see an improvement over those previous managerial hasbeens, but I'm no longer in the Gase or anybody is "The One" and is building a successful dynasty in 3 years almost expressed as a given. Truthfully I don't see it and will have to see it to believe it, the faith crap is gone......Now after 15-20 years Fins have to show me....

Guess Im one of the spoiled ones who lived through all the Shula days and if there was a ONE he's the closest one I've seen and Gase possibly a young version has a huge amount to prove to even lift Shulas jock.....JMO

On a side note whos better OL, Boone or Greco....I have no clue

Stringfellow was picked up by the Jets.

Miami grabbed Browns kicker Cody Parkey, who's notable for missing three field goals (including one in OT) against us last year. Franks has not been cut yet so it's kind of a WTF moment.

I loved the Parkey pickup. I never trusted Franks and held my breath every time he kicked. Last year, we played in a lot of close games, and I expect the same this year. Special teams could be an important part of our team.

As for Boone, I could see him go unsigned for the first week of the season. Afterwards, I could see him picked up when his contract is not fully guaranteed. Personally, I would just pay the man his money. We are so thin on the o-line. For real, let's not get Cutler killed out there.

Kind of weird we changed our kickers this late. Not a salary cut and I have my concerns that after a full camp they cut these guys. Very questionable

Benefit of the doubt on Parkey.

Perhaps Franks is injured. Or perhaps we liked that Parkey only missed two kicks all year other than the game vs us where he was signed last minute to their team and forced into action underprepared.

Parkey was an upgrade. The game last year was a one-off for him. He's very solid and unlike Franks, can score from outside 45 yards. As for as why a former probowl kicker was cut, we're talking about the Browns.

    From the PBP:
Parkey has never missed a field goal 29 yards or shorter (17-for-17).

On field goals of 30-39 yards, Parkey is 21-for-23 (91 percent).

On field goals of 40-49 yards, Parkey 12-for-20 (60 percent).

On field goals of 50 or more yards, Parkey is 5-for-5 (100 percent).

Last season, Parkey missed five field goals between 40 and 49 yards, which is a big part of the reason why he was beaten out in camp.

In a loss at Miami last season, Parkey missed three field goals for the Browns, including what would have been a game-winner from 46 yards on the final play of regulation.

Parkey was a standout at Auburn after starring at Jupiter High School. He's also a local kid.

Read in the voice of Allan Iverson's, statement about..."Practice"
A huge free agency unload and we are excited about a "place kicker" a Place Kicker ??????

Christ, you think we might have a little more concern over, thats almost all that we came out of this with ?...a Place Kicker ?????

(*possibly a good LBr which is actually a hell of a lot more exciting than a place Kicker who may not even be an improvement over the one we had....though cheaper....)

Sorry I was just hoping for our front office to show a little more.....maybe fill a few holes some might consider
A HELL OF A LOT MORE IMPORTANT !!!!!!!!!!!!!! but theres still time
