I think we may be surprised. This team has a hell of a lot more talent than Chicago. If used right I think it could be a great fit
Cutler's agent had so much leverage on the dolphins lol . Tannehill's injury plus saying Cutler is leaning heavily toward sticking to broadcasting. Well played.
I'm going to reserve my official comment until I see how Gase handles the reps. But MM8 is not "his guy" so I really don't expect much of a leash (if one at all).
At least this team was smart enough to keep extra drama of the Kaepernick circus away from the organization This season is done regardless of who was brought in IMO. I hope Moore wins the job personally. QB has to be number 1 priority in the draft next year. Just my 2 cents.
A few quick observations- 1) Recent Cutler photos tell quite a story- he is fat and out of shape. 2) Cutler is not 5x the QB Matt Moore is, but we're paying him 5x the salary. 3) Moore's wife is probably dancing in the streets over this news.
And this article (tied into the above tweet): bleacherreport.com/articles/2675978-jay-cutler-reportedly-lost-support-of-some-teammates-after-loss-vs-buccaneers add the http.
"Then again charisma and camaraderie were not two words ever associated with Jay. He had his clique of friends, his inner circle of guys he’d roll with. Greg Olsen and Kyle Long being two notables. Outside of them? It can be easy finding many former teammates who didn’t care for him. Not just in Chicago but all the way back to his days in Denver. A common theme with human beings this day and age is they don’t like being treated stupid. It seems Cutler ignored that warning sign just like he ignored a lot of keys to playing the quarterback position at a high level." http://sportsmockery.com/2017/05/ex...-explains-the-flaw-in-jay-cutlers-leadership/
You ever seen a defensive teammate on the PUP list get in the face of their starting QB after an interception during an actual game?
This is a one year deal. Obviously he did not have great confidence in Moore for 16 games plus the other 2 backups were woeful....especially Doughty. We now again have 2 QBs who can play on the roster. Lets hope for a good year
In 2015 Da Bears had a pretty good offense, maybe not quite as good as what Miami has this year, but not that far apart. The biggest difference will be Gase having full control over the offense and not having to play a more conservative game like coach Fox no doubt wanted. That and Jay Cutler will be in his second year of running the offense so he should be better at it (along with the rest of the skill players). With Cutler I feel like we can win 10-11 games, and have the security blanket of Moore coming in for a few games if needed. Really great place to be in after losing your starting QB for half or more of the season.
I guessed correctly on the contract and only one year. For my next trick I predict Dolphins vs Cowboys in the Super Bowl. Ajayi will have a huge year as Gase tries to prevent turnovers. Reality check I don't want to talk about if I am wrong. I looked at the schedule again and ouch is all I can say.
