I dont even know what to feel or say. I just hope Tannehill heals to 100%, but we cant rush him to get to that point. If he needs 8 weeks.... then give him 8 weeks... and pray that we can at least split the games he misses with Matt Moore
You are completely jumping to conclusions- we have no idea what he needs. Maybe it's another tear...maybe it's nothing. The thing to do in either case is to get to the top professionals, let them examine it and advise the best path forward. That's what we're doing and it's all that can be done at this point.
Folks probably don't want to hear this, but I'd love to see Henne spend a year or two under Gase. The homecoming of the strong armed QB that could have been would just feel right to me.
Mando also reported that an inside source said it was the PCL two hours ago. Can we spot the pattern here? Armando is making stuff up as he goes....
Letting it "heal" on it's own was f-kin' stupid to begin with. Still rolling my eyes that people actually advocated it.
Either... Moore starts til Thill returns Cutler starts then QB controversy when THill returns CKap starts then takes a backseat when THill returns Behind ALL of these scenarios, if THill has any more knee trouble this year you have to draft a QB, imo
There is no way Kapernick can run Gase's offense. Signing him won't happen. The guy is a one-read mental midget.
Even if it's not an acl tear the fact that Tannehill couldn't get through a week of practice without the knee giving out is cause for serious concern.
They went with the more palatable scenario of "no surgery" so that they could get him back for all of 2017-2018. This is the risk you run when going that route though. Just shaking my head right now.
You guys need to chill. Were we even sure RT was the QB of the future? What last season proved is that he's surrounded by great talent and when Matt Moore stepped in, he performed pretty much the same. I like RT, but gimme a break that losing him spells the end to the season. You're forgetting we still have all the important pieces that got this team to the playoffs on offence and great improvements in the defence. By the end of last season the offence was very good, but the D was being held together by Scotch tape.
No they're not- you have a franchise QB possibly hurting a knee he just rehabbed, then you drop everything and get the best possible care as quickly as possible. That is the smartest possible thing they could have done. If you look at the video of Tannehill walking back into the practice facility with Gase, he wasn't limping or appearing to be in pain. Hopefully this turns out to be a non-story and all is well, but I'm thrilled that they treated it the way they did and protected our QB above all else.
Ryan Tannehill suffered no structural damage to his knee after the quarterback left practice with an apparent left knee injury, NFL Network's Aditi Kinkhabwala reported, per a member of the organization.
Sounds like good news, but if you're Adam Gase and the Dolphins I think you still have to be very concerned on his chances to make it through the season on that knee.
Agreed. Colin is better than at least 5 starting quarterbacks if not more. He almost single handily brought the 49ers back to beat Miami last season.
Not supposed to discuss politics but here's what I'll say about him.... For all of his talent, what does it say that NO ONE has picked him up. I can think of a half dozen teams off the top of my head that need a talented quarterback and yet....not a one has contacted him. That alone should be all that needs to be said at how malignant he is.
It doesn't point to him being a TO-Type cancer. It points to him being blacklisted, which is stupid since there are players who have done way worse (Riley Cooper, anyone?), and yet still have a job. Meanwhile, T.O. was so much of a headache that he was cut by a minor league team that he owned.
There are a few posts, some medical, in the main Training Camp thread. Just didn't want to repost them all. Just fyi.
We have Doughty. You should really try watching some film. There is a reason Gase has kept him around
