All hail Galant for posting! We're living and dying with these!!!!! Love that Landry and Stills both hauled in tds today. I'm sure Ajayi will be fine. Look how he did last year not even playing in the first game. Missing a week of TC ain't a big deal for that hoss.
I've been arguing the same point, and debating the folks who bring the point up about cutting the field in half, I'm a proponent of doing it more than we have, considering he's lethal rolling out to both sides.. I would try to get him on the hoof at least 3,4 times a game.
There is a HUGE difference between a called roll out and an "I'm escaping pressure" roll out like Wilson does. I am not a fan of the called play roll outs.
One year Wilson was #1 in designed rollouts. They call designed roll outs all the time in Seattle. *I do not remember the year, I believe it was his second. I remember looking them up when trying to tell people that they should call more roll outs. Especially after RG3's rookie season which was also rollout heavy.
The half the field argument is bogus when it comes to the skillset of this particular QB..even if the receivers are covered the QB can still pick up yards, he can also throw against his body to throw to a receiver that is not going in the direction of the roll...the beauty of doing it often is to keep the edge guys from teeing off on a spot, which in the past has been a big issue with ryan, because of how infrequently he ran on his own accord when things broke down, how infrequently he relocated the platform, if your a defensive player and coordinator, you know where ryan tannehill is gonna be in the pocket. Just one of the many reasons I've harped on him running, and moving, and rolling more.
Agreed. Plus, you have a quarterback who is a starting rookie without a lot of college experience. His biggest asset in college was throwing on the run. He was excellent at it. Why would you design an offense that specifically discourages him from doing what he does best?
Don't know how much Omar knows or not. Says he buckled his bad knee. http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/miami-dolphins/fl-sp-dolphins-ryan-tannehill-20170803-story.html
I'm in a bit of a holding pattern at work. I'm going to try to post the injury updates, not so much the camp updates. Highlights so far though: Godchaux is playing 1st team, next to Suh, and is holding his own. Matt Moore hit Stills deep for a 50-yard TD. EDIT: Jordan Phillips may have the day off. EDIT 2: Phillips in during goal-line work. Unsure if staff is trying to send him a message or they're just doing their normal rotational "everybody gets 1st-team reps" thang by starting Godchaux.
He looks OK, let's cross our fingers. This staff treats their players like babies sometimes (I mean that in the best way possible).
Both Vincent Taylor and Davon Godchaux have a good chance to make the roster, IMO, judging on camp reports.
Mando says its the left knee. Doesn’t know how bad yet. https://twitter.com/ArmandoSalguero?ref_src=twsrc^google|twcamp^serp|twgr^author
