Last year Juice was 98 in NFL's top 100. So far he is not in the bottom 20. I'm sure he is on the list, somewhere lol. Where do you all think he will land? I think he will be top 60. Personally, he is top 10
While I like Jarvis, it wouldn't surprise me if he wasn't part of the popularity contest. My bigger concern is that he gets his head out of his rear end, and that he and his reps meet the team in the middle on a fair contract extension.
While I think some get upset with his fire and passion at times as it can lead to penalties, I also believe that Gase recognizes it and actually embraces it. Its contagious and this team has been stagnant for so long without any fire or swagger. Everyone around feeds off the energy he gives off. Personally, I feel he is the spark on Offense and Jones is the spark on Defense. We have missed that for so long, always watching games and listneing to commentators telling us that we just need to make a play to give us a spark and put a drive togetehr to get back in a game. These two guys are of that cut and I truly believe that Gase loves it. I look for Gase to do what needs to be done to keep his guys here. Landry climbing in the Top 100 ranking is not a surprise to all of us as we see what he does on a weekly basis and I believe he will only get better as he progresses.
I expect a monster season this year (from him) with this WR corps healthy, Thomas and a potential prove me year with the deal for next season
The problem with Landry is that he's not super fast and you have to get him the ball in space so he can use that elite quickness to make folks miss. Opposing teams know that and they smother him, which is why we throw so many screen passes to him; basically using him as a running back outside the pocket. To me, the real question is how you get the ball to him in space so he can do what he does so darn well... Until we figure that out, I don't think he can move too much further up the list. We all know that he's the heart and soul of this team but that hasn't translated to points, first downs, etc. on a weekly basis. HOWEVER, if we develop the run game that we're capable of and Parker finally has a healthy season, then Landry will stop seeing double teams and get that space he needs. The other half of the equation is Tannehill delivering those slant routes perfectly so he's hitting Landry in stride....that's where Jarvis starts to get scary and his limited speed becomes a non-factor. If the stars align though, watch out!
