I've got a few of them. I've been dyin to use Maxwell though.

 

Good game. Showed some good play by our starters and got some people who needed it some serious playing time.

most definately, our first and 2nd string played really well. they have to be a very confident bunch after this game. We defiantly improved an awful lot since last week it seems!

 

Well as I saw it:

1. We won and you can never discount that.
2. Chad Penny looked very good against a very good defense.
3. Penny to Ginn was A+.
4. o-line was ok, not great, but the right side was better to run behind.
5. Henne looked ok after settling down. he did throw three that in a real game, I feel, would have been picked off rather than batted away. He led us to 3 more FGs. I must say though that part of the reason for that was play calling. So Sparano gets a hicky too. Henne was a 63% comp. %. Nice long ball good arm but should work on accuracy.
6. Camarillo and Ginn were the best receivers in my opinion. Reagan can't catch for poop!
7. As I said before Beck looked dejected the whole game. THey did show the QB coach talking to him once but Johnny wasn't even looking at him while the coach was talking to him. Very sad, my guess is that he is the odd man out. Just my opinion and I hope that I'm wrong but if looks are any indication then Bye bye johnny.

One other thing don't discount Jax getting two scores in the 4th. You may want to call it garbage time but most of those guys are trying to make the team.Jax made the plays and we didn't in the 4th. WE can't do that in a real game.!!

Henne looked pretty solid as well.

 

Yeah a promising game. Never put much stock in preseason scores and stats, but its always good to see people playing well. Pennington is a big upgrade over our other QBs, bringing leadership and experience. I hated the guy as a Jet, and he has his limitations, but hes still a solid quality guy who is coming into a situation where he can really really help improve our offense.
Ricky looks possessed out there, hes fast, runs hard, looks like he wants it.

Henne has been solid in the preseason so far. Granted its against 2-3rd team Ds, but its still good to see progress.

Nice to see Carpenter making the kicks as well, everything he makes is a bonus to confidence at the start of his career.

The big concern again is penalties. 7-75 yards, HAVE to cut down on that some, they werent very good last game either.


Still, overall, excellent game. Shows we can and will be competitive, we can put some points on the board, we can stop some people, we can make some plays. Bottom line, teams coming in thinking we will be a pushover from last years 1-15 debacle are gonna be in a rude rude shock. Not playoff calibre, but we should see a positive season if we keep some momentum.
