Ok, we killed the Charlie Harris pick. Time to move on. So the burning question to me is, is Miami willing to give up a 3rd to move up and get Lamp?
I never condone trading up. The draft is too much of a crap shoot to be giving up picks. There is strength in numbers when it comes to the draft. Sent from my F3111 using Tapatalk
Id love to be a fly on their draft board. My man crush list would be Lamp, Cunningham, Cook or Mixon Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Why would we do that? Stay and take the BPA at the position of need. Harris is a good player. Better than Cam Wake in college.
NFL.com is reporting that Dalvin Cook has off-the-field issues as well (which caused his slide out of rd 1) I know I know, not a need, but could be a steal when we pick. Just saying
in all honesty, I would love cook, but Miami has a history of not using play makers so I would shy away from that and def not move up to get him, i would love to have him though don't get me wrong. I would not move up for an o-lineman, I would play it out, there are too many players that are to close together by saying one is better than the other to take a "crap shoot" and lose a draft pick, I would keep the pick and take an available o-lineman or one of the 50 "good" safety db's left. however I would give away something for another 3rd round pick and go the other way of whatever's drafted in the second and get 2. So get a lineman in the 2nd and get 2 db's in the 3rd. worth a shot. That's just my front office stand point for the day.
just imagine if we used welker and bush and the dr who was giving breese a once over wasn't an idiot and said he was worried about his shoulder? just 3 big ones that stand out to me lol
Give up extra picks for a G? No, absolutely not. We should not give up extra picks for anyone, let alone a guard. These middle rounds it becomes all to easy to fall in love with a player and feel you need to go get them. Nope, waste of resources. Pick where you are, or let others make the tradeup mistake. Would be nice if we have a solid DB land for us, or Cunningham.
I think best player available (BPA) is rhetoric used by team GM's and the media. All team's draft to fill a position where they have a need.
I love this mentality. Let's just get some good players. I'd still take Willis. I like: Kevin King Lamp Butt (3rd round) McDowell Corner talent will go fairly deep into the third round
I would like if we stayed where we are, unless they really want someone who they think is round 1 talent. I would be happy with lots of players (Cunningham, Cook, Clemson CB, the S with the hard Name to remember, Lamp, Bowser, McDowell) there is still loads of talent there.
Seattle Just picked Malik Mcdowell with their first pick in the 2nd rd and still have nine picks to go. Seattle is hitting it out of the park A+ grade so far. Sent from my F3111 using Tapatalk
Mcdowell is not super lazy. You must not have studied much film on him he goes full tilt on almost every play. I have watched over 5 games of footage on him and didn't see him take off more than a couple of plays when the game was out of reach. He needs some work on his technique but he is a super talent and can play svery single position on the DL. Sent from my F3111 using Tapatalk
Like it a lot. Give me the best available guard in the 3rd and defense every other pick and lets go to training camp.
Timmons , McMillan, Harris, McDonald, Hayes. Not splashes but this defense is better than last year's camp. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
