Talk is that some medical issue took a turn for the worse for Foster.

I like Taco, but I do like this pick better than him at 22. I'm ok. With the talent on the board, I'd have preferred to trade down, but... with Wake not getting any younger, this makes total sense, and it's not a bad pick IMO

what that they could be a hall of famer? or that a ceiling is only a few pro bowls? or both. howard is a physical freak foster isnt. howard has a higher ceiling at his position then foster has at his. doesnt mean foster wont be better in their careers. at this point its about heart and determination and injuury luck

And this dude can RUSH THE PASSER. He's a man too, all business. I'm sure the FO are happy. Louis Riddick says great value. He just has to develop against the run.

Listen to yourself.. first he is 6'3 and second hes a rookie and is only 11 lbs lighter than Wake but still has the same height..

If you dont watch college football, like really watch it, dont even comment on the pick and just hope for the best. You guys knocking him on size when hes about the same size as wake makes me laugh

You just said you didn't know who he was. Foster has medical issues. You do know Wake can't play forever, right?

Yeah, this is a good pick IMO. It's a nice mix IMO between need and BPA. I know people like to always say BPA... but... you have to fill your needs and as I mentioned earlier, Wake isnt getting younger. We cant only rely on Hayes and Branch opposite him. He's going to learn from one of the best in the game in Wake. The LB position got help with Timmons, and Misi coming back healthy. So this just, makes sense, especially when they likely weren't expecting him to be there at 22.

Foster to me... isnt' only sliding because of a diluted sample either. Theres likely something there medical, and the attitude, and just not as impressive around all that talent around him in Alabama IMO.

Foster's slide is all medical. Whatever info teams got late on has clearly spooked them all off him and so it's going to be a case of just how far he slides, could it be similar to the Ajayi slide a few years ago where teams weren't sure how long he'd last?

Kind of surprising to see people interested enough in the draft to watch it and discuss it in real time, but didn't follow it closely enough to know who Charles Harris is.

CHARLES HARRIS, Missouri (6-2 ½, 251, 4.81, 1): Fourth-year junior. “More about athleticism and finesse,” said one scout. “Strength is a distant three. Makes disruptive plays. Can get in and out of trouble. He’ll go around a block, back out of a block and get to a play. As far as wanting to be a steady, fundamental player at the point of attack, he is not that. He really, really did get knocked around a lot.

Not as explosive as (Danielle) Hunter was out of LSU but his pass-rush savvy is considerably more advanced. Hunter would be a much better run defender.” Played behind Shane Ray and Markus Golden in 2014 before starting in 2015-’16. “He’s a relentless player who has great get-off,” said another scout. “Didn’t test well. Better football player than tester.” Finished with 136 tackles (34 ½ for loss) and 18 sacks. “The 40 time is an issue,” a third scout said. “He wins with his athleticism (vertical jump of 37 ½).

His lack of power is a major concern.” Arms (32 3/8), hands (9 5/8) were average size. Wonderlic of 23. “He’s really just a DPR (designated pass rusher) right now,” a fourth scout said. “Undersized, doesn’t play the run very well. Just flash.” From Kansas City.

This was a terrible pick, if you wanted an edge rusher Jordan Willis is a much better player than Charles Harris. This has bust written all over it.

Didn't know him but watching his highlights makes him look versatile and athletic in his pass rush. Its a pretty good pick, but we need to go for a top priority need with the next pick.

Harris is a terrible pick. We should have selected Jordan Willis if we were going edge rusher. Even takk McKinley would have been a better edge pick than harris.

Cris grier has lost my confidence last years draft was questionable this one is not looking good at all so far.

Never watch highlights to evaluate a player. You have to watch at least two complete games. Charles Harris is a terrible first round pick. He is nothing more than a situational pass rusher at this point. Jordan Willis or Takk McKinley would have been much better picks as edge rushers.

This pick was a mistake. We should've taken Foster, who I believe was BPA and fit a need. Kiko makes more sense as a weakside LB. Doesn't Harris play RDE anyway?

It's pretty obvious at this point there are issues with Foster far beyond the diluted sample test. Like, medical issues. Peppers has the same failed test result, he's gone, and Foster was projected far higher. There's likely issues there, that you, or any of us aren't aware of preventing teams from investing a first round pick on him, and there's only two picks left in the round. He may go first round still, but IMO, it's pretty clear there's some issues there that has scared almost everyone away.

edit: and there goes Foster finally to SF at 31.

Yeah right. Great logic and analysis there budy. Anybody with any football sense knows this is a bad first round pick. There were much better options available. Last years draft was pretty mediocre except for them lucking out on tunsil, this years is starting off on the wrong foot again.

You're wrong there. He had a first round grade among football people, but we can leave it at that. You're entitled to your opinion.
