For those newer member that did not know Jon, he was one of the original members here and staff from the old FH days. Jon brought me on as a staff member in the old FH days and we met a few times over the years at games. He was a genuine real good guy. his wife Helena and his daughter both have my prayers.

I really don't know what to say, he struggled with health issues for years, but was always upbeat. Please, those that have met him please share your thoughts!

And damn it Jon, you got away owing me a beer! ( a long going joke!)

So I'm cracking a cold one for you now!

    RIP my friend!

I dont get around here much anymore but me and Wharfie grew up together on FH and he was an amazing Dolphin brother. Gonna miss him terribly. Sad day today. The Dolphins lost a huge fan and an even bigger man. RIP Wharfrat. I'll miss you brother. Love you. And love you, Helena.

Still the only member of this site I've met. Sucks when good people pass on especially since there aren't many of them.

Jon was the reason I met a few of the people here. ( Sam, Pete, Mindwarp Eric among a few)

And he still owes me a beer! ( I know he is laughing about that up above!)

I don't get on here much anymore but I just happened to notice this thread.
Never met Wharf but talked with him quite a bit over the boards all the way back to FH.
Seemed like a straight up good guy and great fan.
    RIP to him.

I just saw this too. Hope Helena is doing well. Hearing about an internet friend who has passed shouldn't feel so poopie, but it does. Already missed you brah, now I'm just sad.

Just saw the news. Devastating. I knew he had health issues but didn't know he passed recently.

One of the true good guys.

I think I met him with Ozzy in the old FH days. I used to pal around with InFINSible. Always loved his posts. I'll crack one for him. Was a good dude.

And I just saw this, as well. I do not recall how far back some of us go together. I do know that I was on Dolphin boards as far back as the late 90's after I graduated from seminary. Seems some of the names are still around, but it has been so long ago. But Wharfrat was one who could usually keep the storms which sometimes arose on some boards a lot calmer. It is amazing how some folks can become such a big part of the day on the boards we could visit, and then slip away so gently, they just bear away from memory like a ship pulling off on another course, and then finally slipping the horizon.
This is the last horizon that I can think of, and since I cannot hoist anything at this time except a pennant, that I will do.
    Shalom, old friend!
