Take it from someone who had an early and long-running interest in journalism and general communication; there is a large difference between the material offered for study in universities and what real world news agencies actually value.

And to be brutally honest, your dismissal of attitudes such as Coral Reefer's is precisely why the news media, particularly print but also broadcast, is in dire straits today. Your (future) audience is trying to inform you (the plural informal you, not the singular you) of the problems with your product and you are disregarding it outright.

Sounds like a similar reason as to why I decided I just couldn't go into the legal field. Too many ethical and moral conflicts for me playing in a game that can get real dirty.

Well, not just that, but it's generally not good to start a career in a dying industry. Talk about a waste of tuition money.
