It's probably better to look at the record of our opponents in all games they played except when they played us. For example, Buffalo has a losing record at 7-9 in part BECAUSE we beat them twice. We don't win both times and they don't have a losing record. Same with Arizona losing once to us, thus ending with a record of 7-8-1. Why is this measure better? Because ideally you want any measure of "strength of schedule", even done after the season ends, to not depend on the team playing that schedule. So from that perspective yes we did have a weak schedule but 3 games (the two Buffalo games and the Arizona games) should have an asterisk next to them pointing out they have a losing record because they lost to us.
Wow, Gase is going to promote the assistant coach who was in charge of getting the best out of the unit that was by far one of the worst LB units in the entire NFL. Hopefully this won't be the case. Because there has to be a better DC they can hire in the NFL or even from the college ranks.
this is the same brainiac that panicked when the team turned around, and was so eager to share his Forsight to hilariously prepare us for a 7-9 season..... It was for our own good though... Just like all this new nonsense about Desperately digging for drama, like an angry woman.
I can understand why the Broncos hired Vance. But if I was running a team I would have waited to see what he could do in year 2 of building his scheme. Good luck to him. I wish him well.
I've been looking for the missed tackles stats for the year. I saw a tweet after week 4 where our guys had missed more tackles than the Seahawks did all of last year.
Sounds about right. That's the biggest thing. And in year two of the same scheme these aspects can be worked on a little more as the players for the most part won't be more worried about learning the scheme. Basically there could be more time available to work in these aspects.
He was in charge of coaching up 3rd string talent, among other things, and ended up not imploding. It's not his fault the lack of talent he was given to work with. I'm just surprised that VJ, him, and the other assistants were able to come out of this season with an average defense.
You're thinking of Matt Ryan. He's a happy QB and also at work (cause his team is still in the playoffs.)
You're thinking of Blubber Ballet. It's fat people dancing. You're always thinking of fat people dancing.
