It was great to be able to keep watching this week. Am I disappointed that they didn't have a better showing, sure I am. With 8 starts on IR and a back up QB the realist in me kinds knew that we weren't positioned to make a legitimate run this year. I know it was a difficult loss in the playoffs but this team has a different feel to it. Were relevant again IMO. Haters gonna hate. They always do. But I'm happy with the showing this year. Congrats to everyone involved and thanks for running this board so we can talk everything Dolphins.
Damn. If the mod can fix the yeat to year that would be great. Just like the Dolphins. Almost got there but fell a little short. Lol
Agree I was skeptical and picked 8-8 7-9 season and I was wrong. I was excited to be talking legit football into January instead of knowing mid October we were going to be out of it again. Next year it will be tougher for us so I hope they do some real talent acquisition this year instead of hoping old broken / cheap players will work out!
I'm still sore over yesterday's loss- so close but yet so far. Those two massive screw ups via missed blocking assignments in the red zone was really the difference of the game, so the team should hold their heads high. Seeing Ajayi cry during the post-game interview was painful...hopefully he moves on from that soon. But it showed something that people have questioned all season long- these guys are a true team and they believe in the process. They think like champions...even though the writing was on the wall that they didn't stand a chance with our defense. Anyway, it was an awesome season and a great building block for 2017. I really, really think that's the year we derail the Patriots as the AFC East powerhouse, so I'm really looking forward to the draft and some of our superstars healing up. My God we missed Pouncey and Jones yesterday...completely different team with them on the field. But if we draft a franchise LB to lock down the middle and a couple of corners and linemen? It's starting to look scary for our opponents. So thanks for fond memories, my friends! The season wouldn't have been the same without you.
I know there were a lot of injuries, but my concern this year was the inability, as a team, to beat quality teams. We ran through the weak NFC West, except for Seattle (a quality team there), and wore out BUF and NY. Next year the NFC South will not be as forgiving. Gase's training wheels will have to come off if we're to get back to the playoffs.

Losing sucks but there is a chance to build something here and with a few more pieces I am looking to next year already.
I'm reminded of meeting Jeff Cross at that Miami/Atlanta preseason game... "I really do believe Miami's going to win 10 games this year..." After years of disappointment, I was extremely skeptical. Thanks for the clairvoyance Jeff!!!!!
DE...He's a great guy too...If you're on Facebook you should look him up and send him a friends request. I talk with him all the time. Smart guy and down to earth...a little on the liberal side, but hey, no one is perfect. haha
Ah...okay! Now I remember. Unfortunately, the only social media I'm on with any regularity is Twitter, and only for the sports stuff.
What TRULY took me off guard about Jeff Cross...he's a big man, I mean he's HUUUUUGE and when he opened his mouth to speak, I almost burst out laughing. He has a Steve Erckel like voice, kinda high pitched which really took me off guard. I expected a deep frightening voice but it was completely the opposite. Bottom line though, Jeff Cross is a gentle giant and a WONDERFUL man. I was truly honored to meet him
