Seems like whenever we face a non-division team that is a bad matchup for us and has our number, we wind up playing them every season until we figure out how to beat them then we go back to playing them here and there. Back in the early 2000s it was the Raiders. Then from mid 2000s to early 2010s it was the Texans. Now it seems we play the Ravens every year. Thanks NFL. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
I know your saying this is Jest I can imagine a scenario where we actually are a better overall team but lose more games next year and miss the playoffs. Fans will crap the bed if that happens.. (me also)
honestly, an LOL was all that was needed. People looked at the schedule last year, and never thought Miami would win 10 games. People thought they would split Jets and Bills.
Ill play this game Home: Buffalo Bills, W New England Patriots, W New York Jets, W Denver Broncos, W Oakland Raiders, L New Orleans Saints (London), L Tampa Bay Buccaneers, W Tennessee Titans W Away: Buffalo Bills, W New England Patriots, L New York Jets, L Kansas City Chiefs, W San Diego Chargers, W Atlanta Falcons, L Carolina Panthers, W Baltimore Ravens W 11-5
You're right, so much can change during an offseason but looking at the schedule, who we have to play and where we have to play them, I'm just not too optimistic. Four of those teams are in the playoffs, one of which we play twice (Patriots) Two of those teams just missed the playoffs One of those games is a "home" game in London, where we've not faired well We have a dreadful record as of late at Jack Murphy Stadium Arrowhead Stadium? That's a BRUTAL venue in itself We're going to have to shore up that OL of ours to get a consistent running game and our defense? One can argue yards permitted versus points permitted all day but when you have some of those offensive powerhouses that consistently move the ball, if THAT isnt shored up in the off season, next years going to be a painful sophomore year for Gase
Fair to assume some on that ominous schedule are peering across at us, as an up and coming juggernaut. Lets just hope that for whatever reason, it wont be us enduring next season through the eyes of a cupcake.
I can't figure out why but the Ravens just have our number for the last well...since the became the Ravens.
Well, we actually won the first four regular season games that we played against them, including one during the year that they went to the Super Bowl in 2000. But they have totally owned us since 2005. 2-7 since then, including the playoffs. That includes our only win in 2007 (when Baltimore was 5-11), and then last season when Flacco was injured (and they went 5-11). When they're healthy, they destroy us, and I fear them more than any other franchise also, including more than New England. Nick Saban, Tony Sparano, Joe Philbin and Adam Gase are a combined 0-7 vs the franchise.
I think our team will be getting looks at really good FA this year because they can see we are a team on the rise. Players wan tto go to a team on the rise and play in the big games.
