    They throw different deep balls.

Moore's deep ball might be better with Wallace, however, I do not know. He seems to need huge arms that can also float. Which Moore is missing the deep arm. He is good at floating.

Could this be an indication he's going to strengthen his secondary to not get burned? If so, might the run game and shorter pass game become the bread and butter in this one?

And if there is heavy coverage on the secondary will Moore still try to fire shots downfield into that sort of dangerous environment?

O-line is going to have to learn how to run block then.

I'm not sure why so many people are going nuts over what he said. Even though I don't agree with him, he was complimenting both guys.

that's cause Miami finally found some wrs that can track the deep ball in flight and adjust to it...not have to basket catch the damn thing or worse put one hand up

that tannehill can't throw deep stuff was always fabrication...with juice stills and dvp we have 3 guys that can adjust to the rock and track the ball in the air

The Great White Hopeless sure left a lot of yards on the field due to his 3" vert.

But Hartline was like 9ft tall, and he was a slow moving target. Plus he was white so he was easier to see and track on the field.

hartline was a between the 20s wr and tannehill is the only reason he got paid...instead of talking down the qb he should have worshiped the ground he walked on

The answer is clearly yes. That's who he's been for 32 years and it's who he'll be for the next 6 games.

When did Hartline talk down about Tannehill? Must have missed that.

He said something to the effect that "Tannehill isn't a franchise QB."

    Do you mean this?

"There was also a bit of Twitter controversy on Thursady morning after the radio show host tweeted out that Hartline wasn't oozing confidence in Tannehill. However, after listening to it, it can be strongly argued that this way of thinking was not true.

What Hartline did say is that it's not really fair to judge Tannehill at this point because of the new offense this year. He said that Bill Lazor changed a lot of Tannehill's mechanics throughout the entire season and it really came together the last eight games for him.

"It's probably too early to say one way or the other. We know he's competitive, tougher than nails and will do anything you ask him to. Give him another year and get some more wins and we'll talk about that down the road.""

Because that rings a bell and I'm pretty sure I heard that audio at the time. It definitely didn't sound to me like he was dissing Tannehill at all.

i think it was after the mike Wallace melt down where he didn't want to play after the half vs the jets cause tanny instead of throwing into the safety convert coverage banged a td with Charles clay and took a murderous hit in the process

there was reports that those 2 wrs didn't like tannehill...at any rate we aren't missing anything

Missing anything or not. Prefer not to talk crap about someone without proof. As far as I heard Hartline was a good teammate and respectful. That's all.

Well, that's the problem...you can't give extra help over the top and try to stuff gaps on every play. Sexy Rexy loves his exotic blitzes as well, so there's no telling what we may face this week.

As to the original post, I don't think it's a matter of who throws the deep ball better...Tannehill obviously does. But Moore is much better at spotting that receiver in a favorable position and taking the shot, even when it's not necessarily the play that's called. I have a feeling Tannehill only goes deep when he's told to.

Well, we know Wallace didn't like Tannehill because he flat out said that he wasn't a good quarterback. He's also said that about every quarterback he's played with since college though, so take it with a grain of salt. Wallace has to be the superstar or he's not happy...he's about the worst type of teammate you can have.

As far as Hartline goes, to the best of my knowledge he never said anything about Tannehill. He was fed up with a stagnant offense though and he voiced his opinion to coaches about it behind closed doors. How many times did we hit him for a 3-yard pass in the flats where he got obliterated? Far too many to count. Philbin doesn't play that stuff though, which is why Hartline got the boot along with Vontae, Long and anyone else that was intelligent enough to form their own opinions.

I think he's certainly been smart about throwing the deeper stuff.

I don't necessarily think it's when he's told to go deep. I do remember something earlier in the year (TC stuff) that Marino was telling him just to 'let the ball go'. Tannehill even praised Marino for giving him a little insight on things, then joked that Marino always wanted to throw it everywhere.

Gase has even mentioned in a presser that the deep stuff may not be the look and then Tanny "completes the throw" and Gase is like "Whatever, what do you do when he takes one to the chin and completes a TD?". Basically saying that he (Gase) can't be mad about it.
