No he wasn't. He wasn't hired to fix tannehill. He was hired to win games. Ross and tyannenbaum believed Philbin was the problem not tannehill. They felt he was a franchise QB held back by ****ty coaching. That's why they gave him the five year franchise QB contract
Could you please explain the difference between "fix Tannehill" and "franchise QB held back by ****ty coaching"? Then can you explain why Gase's priority in the very first team practice was working on Tannehill's footwork in the pocket? Or why Gase said in interviews that they focused on it every single day of camp?
Everything that needs fixing is broken. Not everything that needs improving is broken. Thill had some improvements to make, but he wasn't broken. This isn't crazy or semantics. Its been the crux of our argument for awhile.
Tannehill has vastly improved this season on an individual basis and he actually has a TEAM, you know, ten other guys out there who have talent and are led by a competent coach. The 1-4 start can be attributed to an injured O-line and learning a new system for the umpteenth time in five years. He is a team player and a professional. I don't want anyone else under center next year...
Just got to figure out what's more important relative to the amount of resources we have..Howard is going to take a hi resource to secure, we only have two of those in the draft, have to figure out if rolling with Sims and Gray and spending elsewhere would be the right thing to do for the overall balance of the team.. For the offense it comes down to which unit we want that infusion of a high resource, oline, or tight end.. i think we need to spend the hi resources on the defense, so I don't think we have a shot at a Howard or a Evan engram.
I don't think it's cool to insult the site just because you disagree with some of its members..I don't think your opinion is out there or to complex to understand, I respect it..
Agreed. Moore doesn't have the arm strength to give the screen catcher a chance to run with the ball.
Didn't he give up on that when he realized how bad our online was. Iirc he was trying to get tannehill to maneuver in the pocket to avoid sacks basically to try to step up and let the rush get past him. Then when the games started he realized you would need plastic man to contort his way through the pocket and instead cut Thomas and turner. Problem aolved
That's how Moore plays. He's the mad bomber. He heaves those ducks and if its intercepted but the receiver tackles the guy right away its likes punt
