"The Dolphins decided to place Mike Pouncey on injured reserve, ending his season. Pouncey learned of the decision in the early in the morning...

It is feared that if the Dolphins let Pouncey play now or at any point the remainder of this year, he might further damage the hip that has already undergone surgery once and flared up again during a practice in San Diego a month ago...

The Dolphins are hopeful that if Pouncey continues his current course to recovery without any setbacks, the current injury would not become a career-threatening issue...

The team needs a backup quarterback to line up behind new starter Matt Moore the remainder of the season....It was believed the Dolphins might promote rookie Brandon Doughty from the practice squad but that seems less likely now. That means the team will be signing a quarterback.

The Dolphins today also will be making a decision on defensive end Dion Jordan. He has been practicing the past three weeks as part of the opportunity afforded him and the team while he has been on the reserve non-football injury list...
It has all but been decided, however, that Jordan will remain on NFI."

  3. I know they are not in the pisition to jettison talent but as soon as they are in a position to move on from pouncey i hope they do so. He is more problems than he is worth, imo

Agreed, his time is done here. We need to find his replacement.

might have to add center to the list of needs. Anthony steens play isn't good enough for what Miami asks of the pivot athletically. limits the space and 2nd level play

I didnt like the contract to begin with and I really dislike it now. That money would be much better off being spent on another position. Get a competent G, LB or DB with that money. Way too much cap space being eaten up by a C who plays sparingly. Tough decision coming on Albert as well. Would love to see them move Albert to RT.

Albert refuses to play anything but LT. Can't pull up the source but I remember reading something about it in the offseason or early season. Take it with a grain of salt.

alberts still playing at too high a level for me to cut this offseason...nothing wrong with another year of albert and tunsil combined making less than $15 million as stalwarts on the left side

but if we do let albert go I think Miami should be in the leary bidding who is going to be overpaid and is the weakest of that stellar dallas o line to shore up left guard with tunsil kicking out to left tackle

might also be able to keep sam young as the 3rd or 4th tackle option too...keep urbik and tender steen as depth...try to upgrade the starting pivots athleticism if pouncey has a degenerative condition

It is concerning Ajayi hasn't passed 80 yards rushing in quite a few games in a row. Teams are smoking him out, and forcing us to pass. And in bad weather with our BU QB we may be in for it..

I think you have to play the scoreboard as in as long as the games in the balance score board wise stick with 12 personnel with the back up in and stick with the run and the pa...don't expose matt moore to make the mistakes that beat you which he is fully capable of

also teams like the jets at this point beat themselves. really helps that petty is playing qb. he may give us a few. also helps that the right tackle starter is on ir which means wake may murder his matchup and the starting free safety is too on ir

but always let the scoreboard dictate...teams like seattle can stick with plan a so much offensively cause the d never makes them play it any other way scoreboard wise as in chasing it...huge difference

get behind the sticks as long as the scoreboard allows you to run draws and delays etc and punt the ball and play the field position game.

it's going to get harder running the ball without the threat of the qbs legs so counter with under center runs and pa with limited reads/options for the qb.
