I got teary eyed today during the game when they showed Ryan getting emotional with his teammates.

First time that's ever happened for me in a football game. You can just tell how devastating it was for him and how much love his teammates have for him. [emoji30]

    Seriously?

2 throws. And one was a bad throw that he was insanely lucky on. Moore was simple the QB at the time of the comeback. He didn't lead it.

Moore's not leading this team to the playoffs. Sorry to break it to you..

I'm so sorry that this happened. Tannehill has busted his tail and has had a good year and was on the verge of leading this team to the playoffs. This dude is tough as nails and the fact that he was emotional on the sidelines shows how much he loves being out there and wants to be out there. I absolutely want this guy back next year leading our football team. With that said, this team has made it too far to write this season off and I don't think they will. If guys step up and make plays, who knows what can happen? Realistically, I would be satisfied with at least a winning record for the year but I still have hope we can make the playoffs. This team already surpassed my expectations by a country mile and I feel as good about this franchise and the direction that it is heading as I ever have.

While I'd agree that the second throw to Stills was, uhm, heart-stopping in its execution, the fact remains that Moore led the game winning drive and did it with two crucial passes to put us in gimme field goal range in some of the worst playing conditions you'll see in the NFL.

Yes, I think Ryan Tannehill gives this team a much better chance to make the playoffs and then win a playoff game than Matt Moore does, but I also think Matt Moore is a well above average backup and this team has some guys who can go downfield and make plays for him.

Not counting us out entirely yet.

Heartbreaking losing Tannehill today, the guy was playing great football and is clearly the leader of this team.

I've long maintained there isn't a single player in the NFL who deserves a playoff appearance more than Cam Wake and I still believe that but Tannehill wasn't too far off.

Time to watch Varsity Blues and remind myself how the backup QB can come in and lead the their team to the district title after being long overshadowed by the pretty boy blonde QB.....LET'S GO MOXON!!! I MEAN MATT MOORE!!!!

Matt Moore is one of the best Backup Qb in the League remember 2011..I believe he will win 2 out of 3..Only thing worries me, is that his wife expects childbirth on saturday.Hope he is really focused..He is the man with experience, Stills will be even more involved especially against the Jets, they can not Contain him..Matt Moore has a beautiful deep ball

I hope this isn't the case but I think we'll end up 9-7 with the win vs the Jets. But maybe Moore surprises us, who knows...

Wasnt the game tied towards the end? Didnt he score the winning points? Sounds like a comeback to me, or led them to victory when YOU and everyone thought the game was over. Dolphins will be fine.

Perfect veteran throw. Saw the blitz, threw it the only place he could for a first down. I had no doubts he could do it.

He's made his career off 50/50 balls to Steve Smith at Carolina....this next 3 weeks are going to be.........interesting to say the least.

He didn't make his career then. The team replaced him immediately. Hes in this league as long as he is from his "success" with Carolina, once teams had tape on him, he was toast.

Steve Smith fought for every single ball, hope Parker will do the same....he's going to have a lot of opportunities.

about RT, no words, maybe the season is not over, but I really feel so bad for him as a person, afert all the beating he took.
it's so easy to root for the guy and now that the things were clicking... so sad.

They replaced him with Tannehill and never gave him a shot to win the position. All I am saying is, it will be fine. The Dolphins will be fine.

I think Moore can do enough to squeeze out a few wins if we have a running game to help, but I think you'll see what we're missing without Tannehill out there. It will be noticeable.

And Moore deserves some credit for pulling that game out in the end. He gave Stills a shot and he made the play. Nothing wrong with it.

Thing is I believe Tannehill's injury deflated the team. If he doesn't get hurt it never gets to that point.

You mean Ryan's? Absolutely. Perfect velocity. Perfect height to get over the defenders underneath. A frozen rope.

Remember when people said he couldn't throw deep?

    Pepperidge Farm remembers.

Armando has just published a blog on that very subject:

"After nearly five seasons, the moment we finally came to realize that Ryan Tannehill is valuable and beloved and not just another piece of the Miami Dolphins' puzzle that may or may not fit was when he was red faced, tears streaming down his cheeks, and embracing heir Matt Moore late Sunday afternoon.

That was before Tannehill grabbed some black crutches and limped out of the Dolphins’ locker room for the last time in 2016 because his season ended on this rainy, slate gray day.

Amid the excitement of the Dolphins stirring 26-23 victory over the Cardinals and the team’s still palpable playoff possibilities, it was this Tannehill injury that most moved players and coaches alike.

I’m talking moved as in grown men crying.

Coach Adam Gase, who announced the team’s worst fears about the Tannehill knee injury to reporters, found himself at Tannehill’s locker stall after his press conference. He hugged the quarterback he’s defended so fiercely the past 10 months.

    And the hug lingered.

    And lingered.

    And lingered.

Then Moore, who led the winning scoring drive Sunday, came over. He talked to Tannehill. Then they hugged.

Then Moore told Tannehill he loves him.

“My heart breaks, man,” Moore said later, echoing the sentiment of several teammates.

This is where you must remember that Moore is about to get a chance of a lifetime. After sitting on the bench for nearly five years, he is the new starter for a team vying for a playoff spot. It’s a dream moment for Moore.

It’s also a nightmare because he’ll be replacing his injured friend.

Already other teammates had paid their respects to Tannehill either on the field when he returned to the sideline in street clothes to witness the fourth quarter, or in that locker room before it was opened to reporters."

Matt, don't bother. Heaped more praise on Matt Moore in a qtr of play than on RT in a six gm winning streak. His narrative is obvious... I'm gonna root just as hard for Moore as I did for RT. ...because it's the only option we have as fans and to be honest, why wouldn't we want to?. Let others push their silliness, I'm gonna enjoy being a Dolphin fan in December no matter who QB's us

It seems so many people are hoping that Matt Moore does bad just so they can say tannehill is better. It's a shame. Tannehill is better, but Moore has some really good qualities that can win us some games.
