The Phins players aren't happy with the refs... "A season’s worth of frustration over how their games have been officiated erupted into anger for the Dolphins Sunday, with one veteran player saying he’s never argued with the refs as much he did in Miami’s win over the Cardinals. The Dolphins were flagged 14 times for 118 yards Sunday, but some were more incensed by the call that was not made." "Calais Campbell hit Ryan Tannehill low late in the third quarter, causing a knee injury that knocked the Dolphins quarterback from the game and likely ended his season. Those are the type of hits that the league has tried to legislate out of the game, but the officials did not flag Campbell for roughing the quarterback. “I was the one blocking him. It looked like it was illegal to me,” said Dolphins tackle Branden Albert." "The explanation players got from the officials was that Campbell was blocked into Tannehill, but many Dolphins found that ridiculous. For weeks now, the team has had complaints about the officiating, have have communicated their concerns to the league. But Sunday, those frustrations were given a voice by Dolphins receiver Jarvis Landry. “We've had to beat the team, the weather and the refs for a couple of weeks now,” Landry said. “It's something that's not my call to make, or anybody else's call who is wearing jerseys. It's those guys’ to make, and they didn't make it.”" More on this from Adam Beasley
If it was Tom Brady getting hit, the refs would have thrown all their flags, and maybe a sock or two.
Some of the worst officiating I've seen live in a long time. There was a clear facemask penalty not called on an Ajayi run, then they followed up by flagging three dolphin defenders for interference. Then that horrible call on what should have been a fumble recovery. And all the calls extending the cardinals late drives. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
NFL officials... they're nothing short of awful. If the NFL wants to investigate it's declining ratings and fan interest, it should look no further than it's officiating.
I'm not a conspiracy guy but damn has it gotten hard to watch the officiating in Dolphins games. Even before the hit on Tanehill it was probably the worst officiated game I've ever seen. The lack of common sense on the Ajayi recovery was unreal. The holding calls against us were crazy. Apparently pushin a LB straight back on his *** while run blocking is holding but putting cam wake in a choke hold is not. The hit on Tannehill is just the cherry on the sh** Sunday. The NFL has become a garbage product.
that fumble call was the biggest bull**** of the year. That gives me flashbacks of steratore in Pittsburgh with the real 'worst call ever'
If the Fins weren't in the middle of the playoff hunt, I would seriously consider giving up on the NFL this year. First we have a quarterback who hates America and insults veterans, and then we see games where a player waving his arms in celebration is a 15 yard penalty but a dirty hit goes uncalled. That's inexcusable folks and it disgusts me.
See, that was the main problem. The whole replacement referee situation was the best thing to happen to the NFL Referees Association during that lockout. The replacement referees were so trash that people, for a while, forgot how bad the normal referees were in a vacuum.
I DONT KNOW WHATS GOING ON LATELY BUT LANDRY IS ONE HUNDRED PERCENT RIGHT. IT SEEMS THE REFS ARE JUST OUT TO MAKE SURE WE LOSE. I NEVER EVEN COMPLAIN ABOUT THE REFS BUT THIS LAST STRETCH OF FOOTBALL IS JUST RIDICULOUS
"I need to mention the officials because they were terrible. Jerome Boger and his staff were absolutely clueless. The officials, on one occasion, didn't know whom a neutral-zone infraction penalty was on, so they huddled for what seemed like five minutes. They also took forever to review a Miami fumble. It was evident that Ajayi recovered the fumble, and the FOX announcers agreed, but Boger ruled Arizona possession. Boger's decision-making took years, and at one point, it seemed like this game was going to end at 5 p.m. " Read more at http://walterfootball.com/nflreview....XfgiROl8gUq.99
Ref crew had money on this game. At one point I legitimately thought they were gonna call a defensive pass interference on a David Johnson run.
