They're growing on me. Don't care so much for the numbering etc. but the darker aqua with the orange is much better version than the current aqua jersey. Much more aggressive. Definitely think they should look at heading back in that direction for the next lot of regular uniforms.
I actually love the big block numbers, and would love it if our regular uniforms had those too. We can't change primary uniforms for another few seasons, but I would expect that we'll be wearing these twice a year going forward. They're a big hit.
I like the throwback unis too but that logo can't stand today. It's outdated and poorly constructed. I've been saying it all along, keep the current unis and logo and let them grow as a brand, and keep wearing the throwbacks twice a year for the fans who love them.
I do like the current all-white uniform though, perhaps more than any throwback all white. Perhaps just needs a bit more orange.
I still like the old logo better. If you want to removed the helmet on the dolphin fine, but I like the old better
I think it's funny we see this thread after each time we wear them. What is the rule on changing? We've already had our current uniform longer than the jersey that Jacksonville did before they got the two-tone helmet. Regardless I'd rather stick with the new ones.
I personally love both the new and throwbacks. I like the colors better on our new uni's, but the throwbacks are super awesome aswell. Love the stripes on the sleeves.
Lord, have mercy... There is a log-in I haven't seen in a coon's age. And with my exact same sentiments. Wear'em Every Game!!!!! Rick, How you been, old friend.
I'm not a fan of the new color scheme or logo, the colors are too "pretty", and the logo looks as if it's frolicking or something else? Imo, all you have to do with the new logo is point the tail down, like the old logo, it's more aggressive, with the tail up, it's looks like he or she is ready for copulation. Imo, right now we have feminine colors and a feminine logo, no offense to the ladies, you all and the uni's and logo are all very pretty, and that just doesn't work for a football team imo, great look for the cheerleaders, but... Make no mistake, when these guys are suiting up, in their minds they are girding for battle so to speak, they help each other strap on their "armor", cuz lets face it, we don't call it that, but that is precisely what it is, a series of plates that are strapped together to protect your body. JJ understood this(being a psych major), which is why he changed the color darker, made the dolphin more aggressive looking, so that the players feel like their own uniforms are in sync with their mind set, that their unis are representative of them, every little mental advantage helps. Now they gird for battle in pastels with a "frisky" ambiguous Dolphin as their representative on the field, it's kind of pathetic really.
those unis are imo, the best unis in the NFL. I hope in 2 years they decide to keep that look! I wouldn't mind those with the new logo to be honest
The colours are great. BUT!!!! That Logo is way to old fashion. I do like the new logo. But the teal of the new uni's are a bit to bright. I'm a bigger fan of the darker aqua.
I do not agree. It makes it look like it is ready for the attack. Which is why they chose the logo. They studied what Dolphins look like when they are going for an attack. Putting the tail down makes it look like it is a surrender or like the old logo, playing.
Starting to grow on you?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? Old uniforms are legit, new uniforms are straight up ****!!!!!!!!
I believe I saw a mock up with the tail down back before the official logo was confirmed and I didn't like it as much as this one. And I do recall them saying that about studying what dolphins look like like when they attack. Either one is far more fierce than what a Dolphin looks like when they've been kept in captivity, trained to jump through a hoop while wearing a special needs helmet.
The throwbacks are awesome right down to the old logo! In truth I like the new ones as well. I never liked Jimmy's take on the uni's or logo. Logo looked cartoonish.
I hated the Cartoon episode! The old unis are very classic. Perfect for wonderful memories and perfect as throwbacks to wear twice a year. For all the other games I like the new ones but I agree that the aqua could be a bit darker.
I know I'm biased, but the throwbacks are the Unis we geezers grew up loving. Every aspect is superior to the new Unis, including the logo (and I realize that is entirely subjective). LOVE the black shoes.
One thing that bothers me about the throwbacks is the logo is too big.....with the new helmets like RT, Ajayi, Landry etc....the logo sticker overlaps the hole in the helmet and its really terrible looking considering its a professional team...
Sorry I grew up with the old logo, but it is pure crap. Bad design and so on the nose it is painful. See, it's a dolphin AND HE PLAYS FOOTBALL!!!! Get it huh huh huh ? I think the current Aqua color is way superior to the greenish teal we somehow morphed into during the late 90s early 2000s as well.
I like how the current Aqua color is different. I am happy we went away from the dark Xtreme 90s where all teams were going black and dark colors. EDIT: Look at the Rams colors. They are so muted. Like the current DC movie universe. Why do people hate color so much?
Why the hell are we trying to make Dolphins in attack mode anyway. I know they can be fierce in a pod or whatever, but they're friggin Dolphins. I liked the older dolphin because the shaped matched a helmets shape. The new one does look weak.
Galant- love those pics and couldn't agree more with the throwbacks. We are 2 for 2 this season wearing them, so that's a good sign. Also, I remember hearing Garfinkel say that he is a big fan of them too and that they will be in consideration when the rules allow us to make a change.
I absolutely love the throwbacks with the black cleats...it's truly a bad *** look.. I was also the biggest proponent to change everything for the past decade because our unis evolved into some whack *** color scheme that was just terrible, especially during the JT and Zach years.. Best case scenario in a couple years is we go throwbacks full time with a tweaked version of the logo.. Probable scenario, we just stay with the current uni and go throwbacks twice a year.
That's my only gripe about the throwbacks, the size of the decal on the helmets. If they were just a tad bit smaller, but other than that they ****ing rock.
I've been around, I post sparingly. Been doing a lot of writing and haven't had as much time to surf the net. Things are going great though. How have you been?
Well - I've been getting beat around the head and shoulders by some people who really need to read what is on the sign outside the Church. This bunch has never met an argument the wouldn't like to start - and for the silliest reasons. Other than that, trying to keep on reaching others who need some help, teaching about how hard it is to really do the good thing once in a while, and how to try to keep on doing the"right thing" inspite of all hell. In other words, situation normal. Still chasing round South Georgia, missing the blue water, and wishing I had two over the transom and two on the riggers trolling a weed line.
Ahh football. A tough game for men to enjoy and argue about what the team wears on Sundays. You got to laugh at that. I actually like the throwbacks, and the current set. I'd maybe consider changing that shade of aqua on our current jerseys to that of the throwbacks though. Gives you the throwback color, with the modern logo.
It's important that our meatheads look fabulous on a Sunday afternoon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Way too old fashioned...as compared to: The Jets, who keep going back and forth between old logos? The Giants, who went back to an old logo? The Colts? The Steelers? The Browns? The Chiefs? The Chargers? The Raiders? The Redskins? The Cowboys? The Packers? The Bears? The Cardinals? The 49ers? If I've missed any, please point them out but as far as a logo being old fashioned and outdated there's no such thing when you have an aesthetically pleasing logo and color scheme...and the uniforms that I grew up were just that. I've HATED what the Dolphins have done to my Dolphins uniforms over the years
Looks like we'll be going white over white this week, for the first time since the Cleveland game. As I said earlier, certainly not my favorite look. Hopefully next season, we'll just wear aqua at home (new or throwbacks) from October onward.
