After Sunday’s loss to the Dolphins, Jets coach Todd Bowles said that quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick would remain the team’s starter as long as he’s healthy. Bowles didn’t say how healthy Fitzpatrick has to be to keep his job, which may make the decision more difficult. Fitzpatrick said after the game that he’d have an MRI Monday and Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Fitzpatrick has a sprained MCL in his left knee. Fitzpatrick left the game briefly after taking a shot to the knee from Dolphins defensive tackle Jordan Phillips, but returned in the fourth quarter. Bryce Petty completed two passes to help the team move into field goal position while Fitzpatrick was out of the game. That was Petty’s first regular season experience and the expectation is that he’ll get more at some point this season. At 3-6, the Jets don’t have realistic playoff hopes and finding out whether Petty can be part of their future would provide some benefit as they play out the string. Let's see, Wilson, Fitz, Garopollo, and Big Ben all put out of commission. Get on em boys.
I'm really not. Just pointing out that, injuries or not, the D-line is turning into the bane of QB's existence (hyperbole).
We have 19 sacks on the season. good for 14th in the league. That isn't the Bane of QBs, that's mediocre. The only reason to think that our DL is the bane of QBs is to celebrate the injuries they have caused. Denver has 28, that is the bane of a QBs existence.
Is it just me or was that personal foul for the low hit on Fitz pretty bunk? Looked like the guard shoved him down from behind causing the hit to the legs.
every QB except Dalton and Mariota so far this yr. And they chased Mariota last yr. Be afraid. Be very afraid!
It isnt celebrating injuries. It is the fact they are getting to the qb, and what happens after that cannot be controlled Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
