If this team was still under Philbin, we would be 1-7 or 0-8. We finally have a coach that commits to running the football, holds players accountable, and utilizes players to their strengths. I know we are 4-4, but this team is playing hard nosed, physical football and I love it.
I just hope they continue to keep winning... 6-2 the rest of the way is the worst we can go to have a chance at the wildcard
I dont see as a playoff caliber team yet but damn at least we are playing like we belong on the field. Its been awhile since ive been able to say that. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk
Hes learning, but I still feel we need some pieces for next year and I feel we can contend within the division.
More importantly, after week 5 we wanted Thomas and Turner fired....out of a cannon....into the sun. And Gase delivered. Metaphorically.
To say we wanted Gase fired after 1-4 is stupid. I ask the question, then who? The schedule was brutal, there were injuries and he was and still is, a rookie coach. The personnel now, and was then, mostly part of his regime. We are 4-4 and exceeding expectations. His main job was to evaluate Tannehill. Guess what? In the last game it is clear who he is. Now, knowing Gase, he will want a qb that can win games if the run game is stopped. Tannehill has 8 games to show this. Drake bailed him out last week. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I think that both Gase and Joseph needed a little time both to understand their players, get their message across, and to know what was going to work and what wasn't. It took the first quarter of the season, against some of the best teams in the league. Now, they're using the players to their strengths, and the players in turn better understand their roles and the schemes. As the original poster said, the coaches actually can do their jobs! Its such a welcome change. And there are two good things to add. First, the schedule actually gets a little easier than it was earlier in the year, and secondly, there's now actual hope that when the team actually gets some young, talented players that these coaches want, they can develop them to play great within the schemes from day one!
