Ok, I'll give you the action. It's only $25. You're on. Gonna be fun. I think they will be close to each other.
In honour of last nights stomping of the Warriors (of which too much could easily be made - but, well, I just don't care right now) - I'd just like to say... BOOM! Here come the boys from the south!
You better hope not! It's one game but the 2nd unit looks incapable of scoring or playing defense. Bad combo. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Sorry Fin-O, but I'm glad DRose isn't the HEAT point guard. His scoring numbers will look fine, but he makes the game more difficult for everyone around him. Just reinforces why I think Dragic is so important for helping our youth develop. I feel for Porzingis. Stuck with a PG who doesn't distribute and a ball-stopping SF who's too stationary. Shouldn't be that hard to get KP touches in good spots. Hornacek's got his work cut out for him.
Hate to tell ya if they dont change the personnel and get rid of Rose/Noah we arent making the playoffs. Those two are trash on D at this point. And trash IS putting it nicely. And offensively the only thing they finish is a sandwich. Youre gonna lose 3 bills on that imo...hope im wrong. Phil better hang on to our lottery pick.
nah..I got the Heat at 44 wins (high end) but likely around 42 give or take 1 or 2. Heat 42-40, Knicks 41-41..sounds about right to me.
Can't relate. I cried when Wade tossed the ball up for our FIRST title in 06'. The rest of the banner ceremonies...kinda boring.
Wade in 06 was the closest thing we've ever seen to Jordan. He was godlike. Loved that 06 team. Loved the 03-04 team with Butler, Wade and Odom. The Lebron era wasn't my favorite Heat era.
Hyped for tonight. We're 4-point underdogs. They have an excellent coach and a lot of length, though Biyombo is suspended for tonight. We'll see how they guard Hassan in the post. Spo can't quite dig into the whole bag of lineups with guys hurt. (Is Derrick Williams starting at PF?) Gonna need strong performances (and lots of minutes) from TJ and Waiters given the injuries we have.
Well congrats cause I think you will win the bet even if I hope you don't (simply because I want the Knicks to win, I just don't think this team fits well together since it's not 2011 anymore)
I'm really looking forward to this season. It's very likely to be a win-win, and they should be fun to watch. If they make the playoffs, they prove everybody wrong and probably put a very entertaining product on the court a la 03-04. If they miss the playoffs, they get a lottery pick in the most stacked draft in over a decade (maybe longer if you factor in depth). The only way it is a bad season is if the core young players (Winslow, Whiteside, and Richardson) don't develop. And even then, you'd assume that comes with a really poor finish giving you a chance at the top players in this draft, who all have star potential.
I feel sacrilegious saying this but I think Wade leaving was a huge boost to our team chemistry. Really liked the movement tonight, albeit in a minute sample size. Really like our focal point being Whiteside. Really frustrating wondering what could have been with a true PG and C mixed with LeBron and Bosh in the FC.
Threes didn't fall. But 74 points in the paint. 27 assists? That is REALLY good. Threes fall, they score 150. Nice comfortable win tonight. Move on. Three at home coming up. Spurs are in there.....
I don't know if I should be impressed or pissed, lol. Up 71-63 at halftime against the damn Lakers. 63 points given up in a half to that team...smh. Well, at least Harden is on pace for 28 assists tonight.
The Lakers have a good offensive team...they can score....they just don't play defense i hope Walton will fix that over time.....for the Rockets meanwhile....there is no hope with Antoni being the coach
Luke Walton has the Lakers looking legit. Very impressed. Our defense will get a little better when Pat Beverley gets back in 3 weeks. It shouldn't be this pathetic though.
We just need a good 20 minutes per game from him. Right now we got Tyler Ennis getting his minutes. That ain't good.
Few surprises from last night. I thought Dragic looked a step slow on both ends for most of the game, though some of that is Payton's defense and the Magic really making it a priority to contain him. Pleasantly surprised by McGruder, Reed, and especially JJohnson (should he start Fri?). Spo had Winslow initiate the offense more than I expected, even with TJ on the floor who is supposedly the backup PG. Babbitt hit a few shots but damn he's always a step off on defense and we got killed on the glass with him out there. Derrick Williams didn't play. I think the jumpers will start falling once the offense finds some rhythm and the rotations settle in. Our lineups will make a lot more sense once Richardson gets back. We need shooting, length, and perimeter defense. He'll space the floor for Dragic and take some of the defensive load off him (he could guard Kemba on Friday, for instance). We should be much better once he's healthy. I'll be surprised if we beat Charlotte on Friday. I have them winning our division. The MKG/Batum combo could give us serious issues (good luck Babbitt), and I don't like the idea of Dragic having to guard Walker while doing the heavy lifting on offense too. Not sure we can beat many good teams without Richardson.
Tyler Johnson should be starting for Miami. D'Antoni still can't coach Defense. Good to see nothing's changed there. At least Harden will average 25-8-10 for my fantasy team. Boom.
I hope it changes, but it really feels like we have a winner for player I'm going to ***** about all year, and that player is Luke Babbit. He's James Jones with a little more height. If he's not knocking down open 3's he is worthless. I don't get why they didn't play Williams at all. I thought he played well in the preseason. I was also a little worried about Dragic early, but he settled in. Willie Reed might be the surprise of the year if he can do that (or close to that) every night. And if Tyler Johnson can play like he did, he will be worth the money and might even be a nice trade chip.
Speaking of Bumpy, ESPN has a big article on him on their NBA page: http://www.espn.com/espn/feature/st...guard-tyler-johnson-ended-50-million-contract
Harden had like a billion assists in the first half and they lost to the Lakers anyway? Yikes. Gonna love it when Anthony Davis comes to the Heat. Fizdale is 1-0.
Anthony Davis is a BEAST!!! I will enjoy him while I can. Got season tickets again this year, just to watch him. Excited for tomorrow's game against GSW. Go Pels!
He's more valuable off the bench to our squad at the moment. The first unit has a smooth feel to it and TJ is a nice spark off the bench on both ends. We need more bench depth.. hopefully that comes with JRich and down the line if we are in position to make a run into the playoffs we can add someone when Bosh is relieved.
I guess McBob is now off the injury report. We'll see if he has anything left. That'd be nice. When he's on, he's fun. I also like TJ off the bench as a more featured scorer with the 2nd unit. He can play with and without the ball, like we saw yesterday. He connected with Reed a few times off of screens, and Winslow found him in good spots off of pin-downs and cuts. TJ and Waiters should be a nice pair off the bench. And I definitely want Tyler in the crunchtime lineups. He's just a really good all-around player. Not gonna be easy getting minutes on this team. It was nice to see McGruder do a few things last night, cause he probably won't get many chances when Richardson and/or Ellington come back. I imagine Ellington and Richardson will both get run at SF, then maybe shift Justise to PF here and there so we don't have to play Babbitt/Johnson/Williams. The more minutes for the guards, the better. Spo's got a nice idea to set everything up around their dribble penetration; drive into the paint and make good decisions.
