Let's petition to bring back the old school uni's full time

Old school jerseys aren't bad but those helmets are hideous.

I like old school jersey. But the 70's era logo is very dated. I still like the one they had from 1997-2013.

 

Where do I sign?

 

I love all of the uniform. The helmet!!! the colors, the uniforms!!! LOVE THEM!! I would buy that stuff, have not spent a penny on this new stuff.

 

Phins should find a middle ground between new and throwback jerseys. Throwback Jerseys with the new colors and logo on the helmet.

 

I think we should go back to the uniforms and helmet decal we wore when we were undefeated and never change the uniform again.

 

perhaps where you are , but further from Miami all you get is the new stuff. I like buying current, but I don't like the current so I won't buy it. I do have a sweatshirt that is probably 20 years old that looks new, i found it cleaning out closet yesterday! has the old helmet logon it !!!

 

I don't care so much about the uniforms.

I love the field all painted up though! Do that every week!

 

These are what I was hoping back in 2013 when we got new Unis. I love stripes, i love the simple look, and those uniforms with the current logo, would be great!

 

I would pay some money for this to truly happen.


And I'd take the 'dated' retro logo over that of the almost lifeless aquarium emblem they've got now....

 

Old uniform is a classic,bring it back.

 

Old uni & logo 1000x better than this Houston Oiler puff blue and lame dolphin on the new stuff. Black shoes were awesome.

 

It looks like a football uni. The new one doesn't seem sporty, seems more for a party

 

Okay, the 60/70's uniform is good for a throwback. The last logo before this one was trash.

 

You can bring back the uniforms, I guess, the new ones are better though, but burn the previous logos in a dumpster fire and never trot that heinous crap out again.

There is nothing good about them and people ONLY like them because they are used to them.

 

I'd love to, but I have a deep seated fear of being pepper sprayed by mascots... Flippus lachrymaphobia, it's a real thing.

lol, the new jerseys maje us look cute, but somehow a dolphin in a hat and creamsicle orange makes us look intimidating?

There is no way in the world I would sign any petition to bring back that hideous helmet decal. I love the colors though.

 

Give me the throw backs with the new logo on the helmet and I'm all in. The dolphin wearing a helmet with an M is cartoonish.

 

We've been a different kind of special the past 16 years, so...

 

I love the old logo, i could agree with removing the M, but i dislike our current logo.

 

I don't expect this to actually affect anything, but I signed.

 

No thanks. Jerseys maybe, logo, oh hell no.

 

I'd rather we keep our current jersey but continue to wear these once or twice a year, perhaps add a white throwback too.

"New uniforms and alternate uniforms will remain the same -- for now
Since the Dolphins donned their alternate "throwback" uniforms in last Sunday's victory over the Buffalo Bills, fans have been constantly asking me about the possibility of using that uniform the rest of the season.

That, uniform, by the way is a replica of the uniform the expansion Dolphins wore their fledgling season in 1966.

And the same fans and many, many more who asked me about the alternate unis also asked Dolphins president and CEO Tom Garfinkel. He's been flooded with requests to shelve the new uniforms, first instituted in 2013, and go with the 1966 uniforms.

But that is not going to happen.
Because the NFL will not allow it.

The Dolphins are required by league rules to keep their current uniforms for a number of years and they are still within that time period. Moreover, any change to the current uniform would require prior notice years in advance.

The alternate uniform also will not change for a period of time. It was debuted last year on the team's 50th anniversary season but was planned as early 2013. The alternate can be worn only two times per year, per NFL uniform rules.

So the fans that want the change to the '66 unis aren't going to get the change they wanted anytime soon. But they will likely see that popular uniform once more this season -- if the Dolphins are smart and want to please their fans.

Whether that throwback look becomes the next generation Dolphins uniform change at some future date has yet to be decided. That will be largely up to owner Stephen Ross, Garfinkel and whatever apparel company is doing their uniform in the future."

 

It seems like I'm in the minority as I love our new uniforms/logo, don't get me wrong I enjoy seeing the throwback here and there I just don't want it every Sunday, it would seem less special to me then. It's a great part of our history but I was excited when we changed that I didn't have people making jokes about the "Special Ed" Dolphin or "Short Bus" Dolphin with his helmet on.

For those who watch South Park, it would seem that people wanting the throwbacks as our full time uniform are eating too many Member Berries.
