The fan base as a whole really doesn't know what they are seeing on Sundays. Thats why a guy with these "accolades" has one foot out the door.
That TD drop against Seattle was in Seattle... Miami humidity and weather couldn't have been a factor. Could be coaching... or just that Tannehill doesn't throw as catchable a ball as Brees. Dunno, but was pretty much the game winning TD and Stills muffed it. Wallace did the same thing in the Carolina game his first season here. Tannehill threw a game winning 60/70 yard bomb and Wallace muffed it. I didn't like Wallace going back to his Ole Miss days and was really excited when we dumped his sorry *** and got Stills. You're right on his play dropping off since coming here from the Saints, but Brees didn't like him there.
New Orleans dropped stills because of drops and lack of production. He had one breakout yr and then next yr did nothing iirc
If you think Wallace "muffed" that pass? Then your hate for him must run deeper than u say. Also go back and watch that game and notice the balls he caught that were not good throws, including the TD. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
'Twas a joke my friend. If you look at the metrics Brees passes aren't actually on target, if you give any credence to PFF. His catch rate of 75% or whatever it is (which is already ridiculous for short passes, but Stills' average depth of target was 14 yards which is insane) was achieved on 58% of passes being "on target" Now, of course PFF, can't really know what was on target or not without knowing the playbook, but on target or not, catching that high of a percentage of passes, while the adot was that deep, is absurd. Then he comes here and he's catching like 43% of his passes. It's weird. Really weird. His percentage so far this year ... is identical. I'm not kidding. 42.9% so far this year. 42.9% last year. 2014 it was 75% and again, an adot of 14 yards. And I disagree that it was a game winning TD. It could have been, or maybe it wasn't. It's way too early in that game to say, we would have won if we score that TD. If it was the last play of the game or near it, maybe. If we score a TD then, strategies change, on both sides, and anything could happen. It's Bradbury's A Sound of Thunder.
You recall incorrectly. He had some drops, but he was VERY efficient with a ton of production. 75% catch rate, 931 yards, on 84 targets. That's 11.08 yards per target. Compare say, Antonio Brown last year, who had a great year. 9.5 ypt. Jarvis Landry, 2015, 7 ypt. Stills was ridiculous in New Orleans. Yes, for some reason, they got rid of him, but it wasn't for performance. He had a very good rookie year, and improved it in his 2nd year. He never had a down year there. Only here. As for drop rate, yea he's not one of the best like you see with AJ Green, or Antonio Brown, but he's not terrible either. He's on the higher end of average.
Looks like I'm not dealing with someone who A. Has ever seen the whole play or B. Has no idea what its like to catch a football when its in the air and you spin your body around (taking eyes off) then relocating while your vision is obstructed. Which is it?
I said "pretty much the game winning TD" as in more likely than not as the defense still probably folds at the end, but we don't that it wasn't either out if Stills hadn't "Wallaced" it (JK Fin-O (sorta)), but it definitely would've changed the complexion of the game. Stills was a stud on the field for NO, but they didn't like him in the locker room and he was known to hang out drinking late night pre-game. Stills fought hammy and knee issues here last season, which limited him. This year he's healthy and being used, but we can't field 5 guys that can form a pocket or pass protect for more than 2 seconds that isn't a Center. That said, Tannehill is among league leaders in TD passes at over 20+ yards with 4.
LOL... I forgot what a Wallace apologist you were... and I did watch the whole play. Repeatedly. Mike Wallace short armed it and has no idea what those things are at the end of his wrists. Ball was in his hands. Irrefutable evidence regardless of whether he had to do cartwheels and somersaults before it got there. How's ole Mike doing these days? He tear up the league last season in Minny like you predicted? How about this year? Probowl, you think? 10+ TDs on the horizon? Kidding...
He has 3 TD's after 5 games (more than Landry/Parker combined)...so on pace for like 9.1 or something.... and will have more big plays that he had with RT and Bridgewater combined Im guessing. He has a skill set that requires a certain type of QB (one who can hit open WR's down the field) certainly not those two guy's strengths. And you are naturally downplaying the degree of difficulty with the oh so common "well if he has his hands on it".....rather you or the others know it or not, thats a very tough catch to make. Again, if you are so unbiased then why not praise him for the 2 times he had to comeback and make a play on ANOTHER under thrown ball while his man was behind him? Selective memory or something?
lol. Lets take a look. Wallace was running straight down the left hash. Then inexplicably turned inside toward the defender instead of outside. Ya know, like they teach in high school. RT has had many poor throws but this wasn't one of them. http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-.../Mike-Wallace-drops-potential-game-winning-TD
I said it was a poor throw? Stop the lies, enough of those types round here. I said it was a difficult catch and it was.
Lol... that fkr gets paid to catch the ball. The ball was in his hands. He dropped the ball. Everything else is noise. Wallace's skillset is run is down the field and hope that the ball is traveling at X speed with X rotation and is placed at X spot in front of him. Otherwise he's not gonna catch it and is gonna look back at Flacco with a "what were you doing" expression. It's like with Tannehill, right? He gets paid to throw completions. Either he does or he doesn't. If you're not going to take any excuses for why the ball was off, then don't take any for a WR who has the ball in his hands and dropped it. You left out Stills, who has 2 TDs and should have 3 - if he hadn't "Wallaced" the one in Seattle.
"gets paid to catch the ball" you clearly have no clue how hard that is. Im now convinced you are a bored Brett Favre who just hates WR's. (And sorry I didn't include the whole WR core to compare to one Mike Wallace's TD total)
Lol... it's ok, buddy. I know how touchy it is for you to have to recall how Wallace didn't light the league on fire last season with a "real" QB in Minny. He had what 2 TDs total last season? 3 is quite the accomplishment. Be proud of him. Don't hate WRs at all, just jagoffs like him. And I'm JFWY... ... now tell us all about all of poor Mike's struggles with difficult passes last season in Minny.
He had a QB who can't throw deep. What's your theory on why he is on pace for 9 Tds all of a sudden with a QB with a great arm? Did he all of a sudden get faster? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Wha?? Seriously? You mean that wasn't just here? Cause we all know Tannehill can't throw ... wait, wait... wasn't Tannehill the #2 QB in TD passes over 20 yards earlier this season behind only Big Ben? Can you check into that? And Mike is on pace for 9 TDs? Slacker... He had like 10 with Tannehill, right? I'm sure it's not his fault... Maybe age is catching up with him... He still like a 50-55% pass catcher? If only those things at the end of his wrists were better. Doh!! Thoughts on Stills? You should love you some Stills.
You are struggling and the childish theatrics will only be funny to fellow children Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Lol... you come running anytime anyone says "Wallace" the way Res or Fin do when anyone says "Tannehill". Don't get sore. Told you several times I was JFWY. As much trolling as you do on your own, this didn't hurt you none at all.
By the way when you talk about the best WR Ryan has ever played with put some respek on his name. His 10Tds (almost all on intermediate throws) is more than double, yes DOUBLE than any other WR Ryan has ever played with. He also was sporting a 104 rating while throwing to Wallace. He had the best year of his career with Wallace as his #1, the only time the offense has averaged over 20ppg in his career? He had Wallace. Once Wallace was jettisoned by the evil genius Philbin?? BOTH their careers suffered, turns out they were a pretty good match. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Lighten up, Francis. Spoiler
Now, who's putting word's into mouths? I was referring to all the times you baited Res and others with stuff only to wind up them for "giggles"... I used to scold Res for taking the bait. It's an opinion board, man. None of it matters. lol...
When watching Inside the NFL Micheal Irvin was talking about how the Cowboys players seem to be responding to Dak. When RGIII was in Washington the narrative was the o-line blocked a lot better for Cousins. You hear countless stories like this and hear about coaches often wanting to see which QB the players respond to in serious competitions. Do you believe there is anything to this or are these players and coaches that believe in this phenomenon are just full of ****?
It's real IMO... not saying that's been the case here and certainly not believing anything Michael Irvin says between snorts of coke, but players do respond to leadership and confidence. Can't say that Tannehill has inspired a lot of that or not, but we've seen the phenomenon in all team sports. You also hear a lot about the fat slobs on the OL having to be bribed with gifts... I know that Emmitt Smith used to buy expensive meals, watches, cars, furs, and other items for his OL so that they'd feel loved and want to block for him. Tannehill and Ajayi need to fess up some Ruth's Chris steaks and shiny trinkets for the dough boys. I mean, it's not like these guys are all millionaires on their own nowadays and a game check matters, right?
Albert and Pouncey shouldn't need a stipend considering their lack of participation. But I like your point.
Quit talking facts. Even with the "****ty" line that Cahooolalakaka (or whatever his name is) whines about - somehow some way Tanny's number were better than with any other WR. That's how *** backwards this franchise is though. We deported him, just like we did Marshall ...... guys who come to play.
Dafuq does Irvin snorting coke have to do with anything? Dude played the game at an elite level. He was in huddles at the elite level ...... and now you're marginalizing players because they were "bribed with gifts"? Man you are seriously on one. What wacky "adjustment" of other players will the apologists think of next in order to paint Tannehill in a better light?
Correction: He the "defacto" QB. Otherwise, they would have never given him an extension with a team option.
Your reading comprehension and ability to follow a thread is that of a child. This is another reply to something that had nothing to do with you and in which you didn't bother to read what was being responded to. Roy and I were speaking of Irvin spouting off on a talk show and had nothing to do with how he played the game. As for his problems with addiction, both during his playing days and since are well chronicled. In any event, it had nothing to do with the topic and if you knew more about what went on with players and motivating them, you'd understand how the trinkets from team mates often mean more than the salary. You're last sentence is another poorly crafted attempt to spin the topic into something in which you think you'll gain some traction. You're little more than a nuisance on these boards and bring no substance to any conversation since you don't follow the threads, provide no context, and do little more than post half-baked smarta** replies and memes. And JSYK, Fin-O is a big boy who can function and hold his own just fine without some silly a** sycophant like you throwing your worthless 2 cents into things that go beyond you. Once again, Donny, you're out of your element.
