He's nothing special. His vision is not good.

Oh and apparently he's now dropping balls and fumbling, too.

Needs to be released to send a message. Dolphins in the past would stick with players despite them being a hot mess and sending the message to the roster they weren't being held accountable for their terrible play.

He cried like a ***** and then when he gets a chance he plays like one.

The problem is Foster is out with another injury and with his history, you just can't count on him. The Dolphins had the answer at their RB position on the roster the last three years, but they figured Ajayi could replace him, so they let Miller walk in free agency.

The problem with the Dolphins is they always think they can improve the team by signing other teams free agents, instead of signing their own players to new contracts before they become free agents.

Miller is far better than any RB now on the Dolphins roster and Vernon is better than any DE now on the Dolphins roster. Yet both of these players now play on other teams in the NFL.

Our FO needs to study the Packers and how they are able to continually keep their top players, we're doing something wrong.

Ajayi looked really bad running the ball today, and the fumble was a real killer. Maybe a game changer. However, he did step up in the passing game with 4 catches for 31 yards, including a really impressive one at the sideline. We need to see how long Foster is going to be out, because I doubt that Drake is going to be able to carry the load. Hopefully, Pead is healthy soon as well, because I'd like to give him a chance and see how well he can do.

Vernon better than any DE we have on the roster? Might be the dumbest thing I've read all day. And after that loss i've seen a lot of it.

First of all, aside from being wildly inaccurate... what is the alternative then????? make him the highest paid player in nfl history so we keep him? Vernon??? The guy who single handedly cost us like 2 games in his contract year? PLEASE.

It's just like Miami to let a position get so depleted.

It's nothing short of embarrassing that we're now down to looking at Damien Williams and Kenyan Drake as real starters. I don't mind Williams as depth and I actually like him as a receiver. Drake? I mean, he's a 3rd round reach who was brought in because of his skills as a complementary guy.

If Foster is truly out for awhile you're basically stuck with Ajayi.

The hallmark of a bad front office is having positions that end up looking so bereft of talent that virtually any move seems like a positive step. Those kind of situations result in throwing emergency contracts at unemployed guys who are floating out there just so you feel like you have something. That's exactly what Foster was.

The sad thing is that Miami knew LB, DE and RB were all major needs. They gambled on Alonzo, Mario and Ajayi to all provide more than expected. So far...ehhhhh, we'll be lucky if we get through the year with those guys playing average.

Miami's set up to have some pretty major needs next season so it'll be interesting to see how they work it. They ought to plan things out over a couple season but that wouldn't fit the narrative of "the pressure is on Gase to win in his second year" so it probably won't happen, lol.

I drank the koolaid on Ajayi. I drank the koolaid that you don't need an expensive running back in today's pass offense. But I saw glimpses last week with Foster, based on vision, cut back ability and pass catching. I am eating crow today about being ok with letting Miller go. In today's game, at minimum you have to have the threat to run. I don't know what Drake can be full-time, but we know what we have with Ajayi and Foster will be in and out, and frankly that is scary.

I agree. I thought with the numbers he put up in college he would be a pretty good running back. I sure haven't seen it yet. His vision doesn't look good and he is having a problem holding the ball. I know our line is not good at run blocking at this point but he's got to do better than he has.

I still don't think you were necessarily wrong about that. Not wanting to pay Lamar Miller 7M/year wasn't the crime.

The crime was not being able to land CJ Anderson, and afterwards settling on Arian Foster, who was almost assured to be injury plagued, and a 5th round guy with 49 career carries. Basically a lot of bad luck and faith in an unknown.

CJ Anderson would have been a coup. Unfortunately Denver matched at the 11th hour.

I would cut both Ajayi and Arian Foster. One is washed up and the other one sucks, gotta scan the waiver wire for a running back.

And that something is signing FA to ridiculous contracts. GB drafts players, develop them, re-sign them knowing what they can do in their system. They don't gamble their money away on Free Agency.

There's a happy middle ground to be found. Step one is actually drafting well, which is what we've been poor at for a long time. Its not that we let a lot of guys walk that we should have retained. Lamar Miller is the only glaring example in recent history. I have a hard time remembering anyone else who got a UFA deal somewhere else where I was mad we didn't match.

Miller and Clay. Never was much of a Vernon fan and for the money he got in FA, he could definitely go.

we let our franchise RB walk, same with our TE, two positions we were set in are now huge weaknesses.

I'm not done seeing Ajayi. He's clearly struggling. He lacks confidence a little right now too. I actually want to see a little more of him.

It looks like he probably won't amount to much, but with Foster looking to be out, I'd like to get him some additional work the next 2 weeks. Should he continue to struggle, then give me more time with Drake, maybe Pead coming out of the bye.

Not resigning Lamar Miller was just another moronic misstep this franchise took in a long list of those in the past 2 decades. Wow. Just writing 2 decades makes me shutter. We've been that crappy of a franchise now for almost 15 years. Man...

Also, the GB way doesn't work. That is a team completely held up by its QB. Ted Thompson's refusal to utilize FA is hindering that team and wasting Rodgers' years. No coincidence that they're most impactful defensive player the past 2 years was Julius Peppers, a FA signing.

Actually, the refusal to utilize FA has caused a major rift among the Packers FO and the coaching staff/McCarthy.

The thing is both Miller and Vernon should have been signed before they hit the FA market. Likely could have added years to their contract for less money.

    I have never liked Ajayi.

Kinda like what Drake brings, IF he can stay healthy.
