More upset at Stills. Having said that Tannehill has to play better than what he did today. That was at BEST an average performance for a QB (IF Stills catches that for a TD). We need better.
Seen plenty already. Facebook, etc. This gif was literally posted on facebook and half the comments were talking about replacing tannehill. Its FB mind you, and my post was mostly a joke, but if you dont think our fan base is delusional idk what to tell you guy
Who cares? Its bad enough that forum posters have become mainstay topics here - do we really have to make facebook friends a topic as well? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
So...if Tannehill played an average game against what looks to be one again one of the top defenses in league, isn't that good?? I can't keep track of people's expectations for him.
This thread is even more evidence that the Tanny brigade is as sensitive as a teenage girl. Nobody has blamed Ryan for the 10 point offensive output or the outcome of the game...yet if you point out he was quite average (which is what I expected in SEA) the tears start flowing.
You I guess? It was a joke post for the most part. i'm sorry your so offended. doesn't change the fact that it's true and ridiculous and I have every right to point it out as I please.
I don't see evidence of this happening anywhere in this thread. I thought tanny did okay with the cards he was dealt.
You gotta understand...if any other QB plays to"average level" against Seattle, no one blinks, as it's Seattle, and they have an awesome defense the last four years. Playing average is actually really good against an elite defense. But because it's Tannehill, playing average against elite defenses isn't good, they want elite numbers against elite defenses.
Ryan didn't play a bad game by any means, he didn't play a good game by any means. He wasn't the reason we lost. We lost because its hard to win a game in SEA vs that team. The defense was fantastic and in Wilson's *** the whole game..the offense found a solid TD drive in the crucial moments. We almost pulled off the biggest upset of week 1 by far.
If it will piss you off this much maybe I will, because frankly it's hilarious. I said people said something, He said they didn't. It happened in a different social outlet than here So I pointed it out. Deal with it. Sorry for talking about something related to the dolphins on an fan open forum. From now on I will make sure my posts are only related to thephins.com and nothing else. (Or maybe they just need to be posts you agree with?)
Don't worry. He tends to pick on people who have good things to say about Tannehill. I'm sure he'll post a smarmy retort because I'm talking about a poster now. I've yet to see him say anything negative to the crowd who bags on Tannehill around here.
I mean I thought we might get blown out so obviously im happy in that respect, but man that was such a Dolphins way to lose that game...
Tannehill played below average or at best average today and some people want to continue with the idea that he is a franchise quarterback. Sorry I want better than that from my franchise quarterback. Three offseasons in a row now supposedly he was going to come in and have a break out year and the new coach was going to get him to set the world on fire. The offense sucks and Tannehill didn't play a good game. Nothing more to say here. Tannehill is replaceable just like pretty much everyone else on this bad offense. Everyone deserves blame. Even the golden boy Tannehill who gets just a bunch of excuses from some Dolphins fans.
Generally speaking, I think people come here to discuss the Dolphins, not discuss people discussing the Dolphins. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
I wouldn't judge him too harshly in his first game with Gase vs the Seahawks in THAT environment. Did he play great? Not at all....but I dont think he was expected to. That being said he showed some balls on that final drive. I aint mad at the QB today.
I literally responded to a post of a Dolphins .GIF with what I saw a number of people saying about the exact same GIF because I felt the absurdity of it deserved a post. And you start spouting off about where I'm getting the opinions from. Who cares and Why are you still talking about it?
Guys, no one cares about your ignore list. I commend those of you who want to patch things up with those members you've found intolerable but it doesn't need to be public just like the placing of someone on ignore definitely should not be made public since all the latter does is harbor resentment
And the "elite" Russell Wilson played that much better with his 2 ugly turnovers? Of course he did, they won, thanks to Kenny stills. Im done visiting this website, I swear this place is home to some of the stupidest Dolphins fans on earth, waste of time.
Tannehill was the victim of one of the worst drops I've ever seen. Jordan Cameron had a bad one too. I have zero interest in blaming Tannehill for this game. But then you have the usual people trying to start a fight with no provocation...I'm done with that.
Me neither I'm more mad at Gases play calling but I don't get the posters saying Tannehill did good or he is a franchise quarterback. He hasn't proven that. Certainly not today. Tannehill deserves blame just like everyone else. If you are the quarterback of a bad offense you deserve some blame. He didn't play terrible but not good either. End of story. I don't want to hear anything else. Like you said earlier if you critic Tannehill at all some posters go teenage girl mode. I'm apart of another forum and same thing there.
The team should have scored 23 points. One blocked FG, one FG they should have taken instead of going for it, and the awful Kenny Stills wide open bomb, that's 13 extra points. If you want to beat elite teams at their home you can't flush 13 easy points like that.
My 4: 1. Kenny Stills. 2. Kodaking. 3. Bad special teams. Blew a 27 yarder, struggled on returns, blocks in the back. 4. Kenny Stills.
16-29, 187, 1 rushing td, 74.x rating, I believe. Stills drop drastically impeded his game stats. He could have been 17-29, 257, 1 td, 1 rushing td, 99 rating.
The point is, Tannehill played well enough to beat Wilson in his house if it wasn't for some bad luck. No one will care, but anyone with eyes and a somewhat functional brain who watched the game could tell both these qbs and offenses were very pedestrian, but only one is considered an elite "franchise" QB. All because of TEAM success, I'm done caring anymore.
Nobody has said Wilson played better than Tannehill today. Wilson played like ****. He is regarded as an elite QB because of the totality of his work, not just one game. If he played every game like he did today, he would be considered a ****ty QB. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
Thanks res. It was a real bad drop..Haven't been a stills fan so here's hoping Parker comes back and drops his reps.
The receivers on this team are going to be problematic unless Parker manages to stay on the field. Even then, its basically an average group. Jordan Camerons agent deserves a ****ing award because theyve milked millions out of one good season. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
I think you never go for it on 4th and short in the first half of a close game. Especially on the road against a very good defense. You take the points. Though of course our kicking has been awful for a few years now. Though yes Kenny Stills' massive drop was really the big one. But I agree about the defense. They were fantastic over the course of the game for sure holding Seattle to 12, but once Miami took the lead late in the game, they failed to close when they were needed most like so many other Dolphin defenses in recent history. So I mean yes, it was nice to see the D play much better than probably any game they played last season...but they still couldn't close the deal at the most important time. Obviously though the offense was the bigger problem, and its painful to have seen some of the exact same problems they've had the last few years.
