I'm not sure his minutes make much of a difference with his condition, do they? The question is playing while taking blood thinners. Does playing 30 mins per game risk more than 20?
Contact and bleeding are the worries, so yes. Minutes will without a doubt be restricted. Unless they have discovered a new drug that has passed Phase IV trial for his condition there is no other proven solution besides him not playing contact sports. Serena came back from her SINGLE P.E. but she is a freak and also plays tennis, a lot different than the stuff Bosh would be doing on this Heat roster. I still doubt his ultimate return.
I just don't really see much of a difference. If he's out there he's risking bleeding and bruising, right? Playing him less gives him slightly less opportunity for that, but it doesn't seem like a significant difference. The real risk is already being taken if he plays at all.
Per Shams Charminia, J-Rich partially tore his MCL during workouts. Looks like just rehab for now but no timetable on return Bummer
Damn that sucks for Josh. He'll miss training camp and at least some (hopefully not all) preseason, I would guess. Would've been nice to have a developing 2nd year player get those reps to work on some areas of his game. Timing and severity could've been much worse though; this should be just a small setback. Fortunately we have a lot of guards if this is worst-case and rehab lasts a little into the reg season, or if they want to ease him in slowly.
My guess is hes going to be out until January.. It sucks, and it sets back his development.. Hope he comes back strong..
??? So an injury that takes 4 to 6 weeks TOPS to recover to 100%...is gonna take him 16? 4 months huh? Come on man, this is beyond negative thinking. SMFH
Personally, I think he needs and amputation and his career is over. In fact, I heard a rumor that Micky Arison is disbanding the franchise over this injury.
Bosh expected to be cleared. Fingers crossed for him and us. http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/243304/Chris-Bosh-Likely-To-Be-Cleared-To-Play-By-Heat
The real worry is how he will deal with not playing 100%. I would expect Spo not to put him in too many unfavorable defensive situations and have him play a more Mike Miller kinda spot-up corner shooter type role with limited minutes to start the season. We have a great training staff, so I'm sure it's being drilled into his head not to overcompensate with the other leg.. but his age and hunger for a 2nd contract might make him disguise his injury to staff. Just hope he isn't following around McBob.
Breaking: In new documentary released today Chris Bosh reveals he had multiple clots last February and that Heat doctors told him his career was likely over. He's been trying to find other docs/treatments since I'm sorry, I love Bosh but he's crazy to play.
Things on the Bosh front today have been really weird and troubling. Not sure what he's trying to accomplish with some of this, exactly. And yeah the clot info is legit scary, like, maybe you should just hang em up dude. I think today's developments will put the HEAT org in better light, protecting Bosh from himself. Damn this is a mess.
Multiple clots... this is very scary stuff, I know he's found a doctor but it's obviously not something that all of the docs(or even most) seem to agree on... I would have thought that a cat like bosh who has so many things outside the sport would be able to walk away from it when faced with something so life threating... it's crazy
You might be right. My brother has had blood clots and the symptoms recur out of nowhere. Dude is a warrior though.
Bucks playoff hopes just snapped with Khris Middleton's hammy, he was super valuable to them, really nice player. I guess they're open to trading for a SG/SF to fill the gap. We have depth and several guys who fit the bill. Just putting that out there. Here's the Bosh stuff for anyone interested: http://www.uninterrupted.com/watch/28B1KDRQ/ep-1-lost?playlist=N4M8xKh5
Chris Bosh has failed his physical with the Miami Heat. he was gonna be cleared to rejoin the Team on Monday for training camp. he has a re-occurrence, and his career is likely OVER. Sad end to a Hall of Fame career. I'll be there when we retire #1.
That's a shame. I was pulling for they guy. Will always appreciate him as a man and champion. Vaya con Dios #1.
That's terrible for Bosh, but probably the best for all involved. Appreciate what he did for the team and community, and hope he stays healthy post-basketball. Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk
2 game advantage between Knicks and Heat in the released Futures Wins docket. So Knicks -2. What ya think
He should apply for medical retirement now and get his money. I don't expect to see him on a Heat uniform ever.
As ugly as this could get from bosh and the Heat, i mean not even the players union is on his side.. theyve been on the Heat side in this situation.
Yao gets his jersey retirement ceremony the same day Dwight and Atlanta come to town...lol Leslie Alexander is awesome.
How did he fail the physical? I don't understand why they can't get him on a blood thinner that had a reversal, like coumadin. If he was bleeding, they could just give him Vitamin K and then reverse the thinning.
Bosh will go down as one of my all-time favorite professional athletes. Hopefully everything ends here and it doesn't get messy. As for the basketball side of things, maybe this is best. I think Miami could have been a playoff team if things fell right with Bosh there. But this is the year to be in the lottery if you have to pick a year. Hopefully this will allow Winslow to develop more on the offensive end as he will be needed more there now with Wade and Bosh gone.
Sad news about Bosh. Much as I don't like the heat, never want to see another players career end because if something this serious or any injury really.
You seem to have some knowledge on the medical side than I do. But it's a lot more complicated apparently if they found more clots on his lungs. He's done.. and theyre not going to play him while on thinners, even if he found some doctor from some third world country that OK'd it.
