Lol heard this argument with guys like Dirk and Paul Pierce for a decade...bad argument. When you say done nothing I'm assuming you mean playoffs wise? Even great players need competent teammates. N
I do think that Melo will end up being under-appreciated for how good he was when it's all said and done because he played on so many bad teams in his prime. It is what it is, though. He's certainly a HOFer, but under different circumstances he could have been looked at as being an all-time great IMO.
This is the NBA, his teams should be competing for playoff spots. Malone and Barkley were on really good teams that has long strings of success. I guess scoring a lot of points makes you a HOFer, to me his teams have been horrible and he's been a reason why. A team with a legit HOFer shouldn't be setting records for futility. Yeah, his career has been disappointing.
He's basically been back, has been in team facilities the past month or so.. lol There was a rumor that Riley told players no social media in team facilities because Beno was featured in some of it despite not being under contract.
That to me tells me how little you understand the nba IMO. Those guys also had great supporting players. Malone had Stockton, Barkely had Kevin Johnson (one of, if not the best PGs in the league at that time) and guys like Dan Marjerle and Tom Chambers who at least made a few all star appearances. The only time Melo was given such a cast with a near end of prime Chauncey Billups and a frequently hurt Kenyon Martin and Nene he was in the playoffs regularly. I don't think he missed the playoffs til his 8th or 9th year in the league. The year he was drafted the Nuggets had the worst record and just by drafting him improved 20+ games. Am I happy he hasn't brought my Knicks to the promised land? You know I'm not. But the supporting cast hasn't been good enough, frankly it's still not.
Whoa rumor floating around Twitter that the Warriors had the first-ever unanimous MVP and a 3-1 lead in the Finals but then lost to the Cavs.
I gotta ask....as a Knicks and Cavs fan...how many times a week do you get in to bar fights with yourself debating that? I mean did you ever punch your right eye with your left hand? Run a secret Fight Club? Just sayin....
Obviously I know he isnt in Brons league, then again who is. Look at the teams before and after him. Difference is night and day. Melo just gives a crappy team a fighting chance, Lebron takes them to the finals and beats "all time great teams" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Nothing to blame Heat fan for. Our teams are in similar situations, I consider us linked. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The only thing we are linked in is that we both play in the NBA. Don;t put your stink on us to make you feel better.
Im willing to wager anything you like the Knicks finish with a better record than the Heat. Just saying.
Like you were willing to wager 1k on that game 1 and I talked you out of it? Don't be so sure. Don't believe the bull****. The Odds to win the East for the Knicks are +3300 with all that New Yawk idiot money flying in. Miami is at +4000 Give me odds. You are on.
Yea, dodged a bullet on that one. You just said the line is what it is because of all the NY $....now you want me to give you those odds on an inflated line!!?? You are the HEAT...you have Pat Riley and the NBA version of "The Patriot Way"and you want odds vs a dysfunctional team full of has beens with bad knees and 2 guy's who obviously are on money grabs in Phil and Melo. And you WANT odds? Ill shoot you +5% on an agreeable number. Can certainly keep it friendly, nothing in the K's. (unless you want to waive the 5%)
I think 6-5 is fair, based on the number. Straight win%. We tie, we push. To keep it friendly, my $250 vs. your $300. Deal?
Your $275 and its a deal. Also you have to replace Riley smelling his finger with a picture of myself wearing my "ultimate Warrior" shirt for 3 months.
No deal. $300 vs. my $250. To juice it up, I will pay you a premium of $50 if they tie and you have the tiebreaker.

Dwyane Wades cousin was shot in the head in Chicago. She was pushing her baby on a stroller by the sidewalk and was murdered.
****ing terrible senseless cowardly act, right enough of this already, Feel for the kids, damn sorry Wade,
One of those "WTF is wrong with people moments". Too bad we can't abort people after they turn out to be pieces of trash.
I've been a fan of Syracuse basketball since the early 80s when they had guys like Pearl Washington, Rony Seikaly etc....so naturally I think Boeheim is a great coach. But he seems to be chiming in on Melo's pro career so much lately I'm amazed he has time to coach a major college basketball team. I mean really, shut up.
Seems like it wasnt so random afterall. Wade spoke against gun violence with Jemele Hill of espn a day before this happened, standing around the same area she was shot. So she was definitely targeted and that makes it even more disgusting
Heat fans will want to read this: http://miamiherald.typepad.com/spor...sh-could-play-this-season-and-still-be-c.html
Prayers out to Jrue Holiday and his wife. His wife is pregnant with a brain tumor. She is a two time gold medalist from the US women national soccer tram. Hes going to miss the first quarter of the season to care for her and may miss more. She will have surgery for the tumor after the birth of the child.
Sounds like Bosh is gonna play. That would be huge. This team's going to be fun to watch regardless, but now we'll be legitimately competitive into the early postseason with him. Plus it'll allow some of the younger guys to develop without too much pressure offensively. Lacking some starpower, but it's gonna be tough to get minutes on this team. Got some serious depth, especially 1-3 if we do play more two-big lineups. Jesus this team is going to defend the living sh-t out of people if Bosh is fully back. Can't wait...need basketball.
A lot of "if" with Bosh. I'll contain excitement for his return when he makes it through the All Star break without an episode.
This is going to sound crude but I really hope he doesn't die out there. Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk
I imagine Bosh will see 20 minutes a game.. For a long time. His minutes vs the money he makes will average out to highest paid player in usage time lol
