http://sports.yahoo.com/news/jugger...ami-dolphins-224429927.html?hl=1&noRedirect=1 This article is all about fantasy, not wins and losses so ignore the 26 ranking. It's all about potential production. But this section sums up Tanny for me. Talks about the receivers, Ajayi and Cameron.
I worry, the coaching and s****ty offensive line has Tannehill 2 steps away from David Carr Syndrome. If Joe Philbin was still here, I think he would take those final steps. My hope is that Gase reverses that trend and brings Tannehill back on track. I still believe Tannehill made progress despite poor management.
Tannehill is as tough as they come. I don't think he'd ever get David Carr Syndrome even with the type of OL he's had so far. I think we would've seen it by now if he wasn't as tough.
But those QBs didn't have to wait until they were 30 to be good, they've been good for a long time, Tanny is 28 now, or will be in a couple weeks, the clock is ticking.
That bolded sentence is what I most fear, another Jay Cutler type, they keep you hoping and never live up to the potential.
Ryan strikes me as a guy who will retire early, rather it is forced or not. I don't see him playing into his mid 30's. Call it a hunch.
Yeah but those QBs were all good before turning 30 as Finster points out. Brees, Brady, Rivers, Big Ben, even Carson Palmer before being injured. Brees in his 3rd year starting. Big Ben was a caretaker QB but flashed right away and only got better. Rivers sat for two years, and by year 3 starting had an elite season after a promising first year starting (and 2nd year meh). The book is definitely not closed on Tanny. But it is closing, at least in Miami. He's got to show us something year, and be really good by next year.
Spun into another useless thread about T-hill...... Oh'well... That's the type of stuff Giants fans would say of Eli... But then they got a decent team around him... It seems we're still on the 'Qbs ultimately win/lose games' kick. .....then there's romo..... With all the surrounding talent you could ask for....Who's never really won anything. He must be sooo beyond terrible, according to popular logic practiced here.
I think we need to see how he performs in Gase's system, with a line that is more respectable now. If it is the same kind of dull performance, we really need to look to change
