In terms of purely facilitating and passing the ball with instincts and precision, if he were a Rondo (even before Rondo had a shot) then I'd be all about him. I'm just not seeing it yet. I kind of picked at Tyler Johnson because of physical shortcomings as a two-guard, but as a point guard that started to make a lot more sense to me. Now I'm picking on Briante because of those physical shortcomings as a point guard, because he's even smaller than TJ.

Actually a guy I like to potentially play PG is the guy I've been talking about McGruder, which would be interesting since he's been a small forward in college and in the NBA. But he seems to have the handle, instincts and speed on the dribble to think about it. And he adds the dimension of being able to shoot the three ball, finish at the rim, etc.

The Heat seem to prefer to run the offense through guys that have a history of being shooting guards or forwards. They've had Justise Winslow doing it in summer league two years in a row. They converted Josh Richardson that way. They converted Tyler Johnson. Goran Dragic is a combo guy that way as was Mario Chalmers. Especially if we lose Tyler Johnson, I'd like to think about McGruder as the next experiment that way. Especially since I think Richardson would best be served being a straight up shooting guard.

Everyday since free agency started. That would mean Wade is definitely staying.

Michael Carrera from South Carolina has my attention. Probably just a summer league guy but man does that dude hustle around. Good frame though not necessarily good height. Not sure what his scoring capabilities are, shot 40+ percent from three his last year at South Carolina.

Didn't realize Rodney McGruder played with Heat summer league last year. He didn't look ready then. A year in their D-League program, he looks a lot better now.

Brian Windhorst reiterated on ESPN that the Cavs are not interested in Wade because he's "past his prime".

Heatles were fun bc everyone hated them and hate watched them. GS is well liked and already broke the win record and a title recently. There just isn't much they can do that is compelling.

They're pretty much gonna keep doing what they were doing before but with less competition now.

People aren't going to hate-watch GS because of Durant? Really?

Those years are big reason for that huge TV contract which brought about the big salary cap jumps. It was good for the league. And just like in those years, people are now pissed at GSW/Durant but will watch.

The Nuggets have offered Wade a 2 year $50m contract. Marc Stein still expects Wade to stay in Miami.

    Read LeBatard's column

LeBron is to blame for all of this. He is a cancer who continues to infect this organization even after he screwed us.

Henry Thomas is just as bad.

I'm sorry Wade got screwed by people he should've been able to trust but that's no longer our problem. Take the deal or go to Denver.

At 35, I'm not so sure Wade wants to spend two years on a team that isn't going anywhere. We're not going anywhere either but we have pieces.

Our best case scenario moving forward is Wade re-signs, McBob is traded, we sign Westbrook outright next offseason, and Dragic is traded after this season. Unless you have a commitment from Westbrook on signing an extension, I don't move Winslow for a rental Westbrook.

So to take a break from Wade-fest. What would everyone think about a Chalmer reunion? Makes a lot of sense.

This is a ridiculous narrative through an entirely pro-organization lens. How in the world is Wade screwed? The idea that Dwyane Wade is holding contracts over the teams head isn't logical. It would be an extremely dumb negotiating tactic to say he is owed for the past. The negotiations are dictated by current market forces.

The LeBron stuff is just flat out embarrassing. LeBron has nothing to do with what is happening now. Had Wade made an extra $10M in the past wouldn't impact what other teams are offering him this offseason.

I dont agree. The dynamic for GS has no changed completely. They go from a team people wanted to see win to a team that wanted to see lose. We have seen them crumble under pressure and adversity, and now that will increase 10x.

The Miami Heat embraced pressure and adversity. They were mentally strong. The GS Warriors have not shown the same mental toughness.

If Wade wasn't upset about past contracts there would be no problem today.

That's his whole shtick. He sacrificed so now we owe him. If this were simply about his market he would leave. It's not. He doesn't want to leave but he also doesn't want to help the organization.

And that attitude absolutely comes from LeBron. These problems did not exist until he left.

No it isnt. His argument is that he is worth $50M on the open market, so Miami should pay him that much. The difference in current offers would exist regardless of what he made in the past.

Ridiculous. Players do this all the time. That attitude is a fundamental aspect of economic theory - people will do what maximizes their earnings. That is what Wade did before, and what he is doing now. People are just upset that what might maximize Wades earnings now is not in line with the Heat winning titles.

Rebuild mode, we only have four players signed and Joe Johnson and Deng who were huge contributors after the all star break is gone. Deng arguably our MVP last year.

Time to give PT to the rookies/second year guys and develop whiteside until Wade and Bosh are gone.

I'm sorry, but people are going crazy right now. Deng was at his best after Bosh went down. Johnson's help was overstated. And are we going to pretend Whiteside, Winslow, and JRich won't develop? This is a really good team if healthy.

Bye, don't let the door hit ya, where the good lord split ya. I love Wade....he's arguably one of greatest athletes to play in Miami, but i don't believe a guy who's entering the twilight of his career should be handcuffing the organization that has fed his family for over 10 years. The heat aren't going to win a championship next year, so if he chooses to go chase rings in Cleveland or die a slow death in Denver....that's his choice. I'll be sad, but I'll get over it.

Plus Mr metrosexual will look awesome in those rainbow throwbacks the nuggets wear.

Lmfao, I'm torn on the subject. I live in Denver, but only for two years now. I love what the Nuggets are doing, but I'm a loyal Heat fan. I actually think it would be the best of both worlds if Wade left. It rips the bandaid off the Heat so they can move forward with out feeling like they are handied to someone who is obviously declining. I don't know about you guys but it was a travesty in my eyes how Shaquille ended his career. On the other hand the Nuggets are so young and talented, they could afford to pay a mentor with a little gas in the tank. It would allow the Heat to move forward and the Nuggets to possibly get into the playoffs. I would hate to see him leave Miami, but with the animosity obviously building, maybe it's time.

Nuggets offer is 2 year 52 million

Oh and those "canceled" meetings that was reported by Windhorst earlier, is wrong. Wade is having meetings witth multiple teams tomorrow in New York, not just Denver.
