Wade is going to get his 3 year max, but Goran will definitely be a salary dump. Micky isnt about to pay a whole lot of money for a roster that cant win a championship. Thats just the truth. We dont even have Deng on board yet, and we still have to bring a few others back like Haslem.

Goran should start packing his bags, i like the guy but o well. Wade 3 year farewell tour begins this October. The market has spoken.

Wade is just going to have to be patient for another 48 hours.

We'll take care of him. Ethan suggesting that Whiteside is willing to give up $10 million for KD.

If he does that and we trade Goran/McBob there will be plenty. Or he can give up a bit and maybe keep Goran.

Either way, just work with us dude.

I have a feeling Wade is as cool as a cucumber on it. Every time contracts come up he trolls the market and everyone believes it's real "this time"

I imagine that both Miami and Golden State walk into the Durant proceedings believing they have a real shot.

The thing that strikes me about that friend saying 90% and that a team will really have to wow him is...people tend to underestimate those small odds. And when you're saying that you have to be wow'd and you know you're about to meet with a dude that has the reputation for wowing people and selling them...I mean, that message could just be anticipation for that meeting. Like I took that pitch and it was everything they said it'd be so now I'm joining the Heat. Or the Dubs.

I don't want to do this to myself but i have to. Just imagine a defensive rotation with Wade, Winslow, Bosh, Durant, and Whiteside.

Shot blocking, length out the wazoo, and rebounding.

I dont understand why Skolnick and LeBatard have been on the radio all day saying Wade is gone if we can grab Durant. These guys are fear mongerers. If we get a commitment from KD we send Dragic/McBob packing. That gives us 45 million to play with to split between them both, and we arent counting what Hassan is willing to give up in order to bring in KD. Roughly 50-55 million between two guys, it is more than doable...

The only thing that can come out about KD until Sunday would be bad news.

I'm glad the Heat paid up for Whiteside. I wasn't sure if they would but the Heat needs him and he needs the Heat. The team gave him stability. At times Whiteside looked inconsistent or his head wasn't straight or whatever and the Heat was there for him. They're good together.

I've not heard it that way today. They're mostly talking scenarios, largely under the guise that Wade becomes alienated.

That is not happening. Goran will only be traded if KD agrees to sign with the Heat.

They don't have to dump Dragic to sign Wade. They have the cap space to sign him outright.

I thought I taught you guys better? LOL

Ok let's say we win the lottery and sign KD and then resign Wade. Dragic is dumped. Do the Heat have money to sign any shooting? What about if they can find a vehicle to drop McBob?

At that point, the greater worry is at PG IMO. There will almost certainly not be any money left over, but with a team like that in a city like Miami, and an organization like the Heat, you will probably see decent players take minimum deals to come like they did before.

In that case, they will have the mini-mle, and min. contracts to fill out the roster.

So one decent signing and then ring chasing vets in that scenario? And only one PG on the roster who will be in his sophomore year.

Well, my wife is going to be extremely disappointed if the Cavs don't match the Bucks offer for Delly. For her sake, I hope the Cavs match, but I really don't see them doing it due to the tax burden(s).

Horford is a goner. Dwight signs 3 years $70.5 million in Atlanta. If OKC moves Kanter, expect free agency to end quickly for Miami.

    Edit: God dammit

If conley got 153 million in five.. Durant and Lebron are both getting 200 million.. wouldnt shock me if both parties are discussing their numbers while also negotiating with their respective teams to make sure theyre getting their worth

Maybe it's time to surround Whiteside with shooters and let Wade go? Paying big money for a 35 year old guard is dangerous.

Wade, Carmelo and Zingis (Rose and Noah too) is actually kinda interesting........if Wade wanted to twist the knife in Riley he'd go to his old team lol. Ok, so that wouldn't happen but its a fun thought.

You don't want that for extended periods of time. You'd rather have a guy like Udrih at 1 who can simply get the ball to everyone.

You know what I find most annoying, there are a lot of people that WANT Wade to get his 5 year 150 million with us. And the majority of those, 98% of them, are not Heat fans, they're just sick of Pat Riley and his discount deals and they want to see Riley pay their guys, they also don't want the Heat to succeed, that's because they still have some anger about our last 4 championship runs.

I don't know what I feel about the whole discount deal argument they have, I guess I understand because there's no way the Bucks, Toronto, Nets, Pelicans, Hornets, Blazers, etc will ever get Wade Bosh and Lebron discounted to play in Milwaukee even if Riley was the President/GM there.

But reading them constantly say PAY WADE, PAY WADE PAY WADE.

The guy is almost 35 years old and would be the oldest player to ever get such a deal if we give him what he wants. Hell no, Wade is my favorite player in the NBA, but I rather we let him walk than watch Riley and the Heat get bent over by a guy who has had his share of injuries and conditioning issues and is turning 35. If there's anything that needs to stay firm and strong, is Riley's will, and he shouldn't break his balls just to sign Wade to what he wants.

Unfortunately, we already have one major bad contract in Bosh, we can't have two of them. We just can't.
