Bulls made it coear today Butler is their guy... They still have to fill in about ten other roster slots with talent. Noah, Gibson, Gasol are all corpses
Ethan suggesting that these trades indicate the East is in flux behind Cleveland and this is when Riley tends to strike, when he can take advantage of flux Not reporting anything but he said he would not be shocked if Dragic was traded
I might be willing to sell low on Dragic to free up some space. Depends on what the team thinks of a combo of Richardson/Johnson going into the season. That said, I don't think the optics of trading Dragic after convincing him to take a lower salary in Miami would be all that pretty. It would be a dick move to be sure.
What was once amusing is now growing boring. I'm not sure if it's a reading comprehension issues or you don't know the meaning of words like "proven". I find it hard to understand how I can be a hater of a player I have been a fan of since before he even joined my team, and who I have constantly praised as being one of the greatest players of all time. You see, this all began when you threw out the idea that many Heat fans were critical of LeBron's game. Myself as well as Raf asked you to provide any proof of this ridiculous notion, for which you couldn't do because it didn't exist. Raf actually searched to try and find literally anyone doing this and couldn't. Then, after trying to change your argument to say that you said Heat fans were critical of LeBron in general, your exact words were quoted "proving" that wasn't indeed what you said. You were probably embarrassed by being made to look foolish and stopped trying to argue the point. Then, you said the following after the Cavs won: After myself and others challenged this once again very ridiculous claim, saying that Heat fans may have been rooting against the Cavs, but many of them actually gave LeBron credit, you suggested: Here is the post below mine: Lol indeed. It couldn't be any more cut and dried as he is congratulating the player all of us Heat fans are apparently "salty" at. This is called "proof". If you really want more "proof", I'll give it to you so that hopefully once and for all we can end this silliness (although my money says in your fantasy land where all Heat fans hate LeBron, and up is down, this someone won't qualify as "proof"). These are the posts of people I believe are Heat fans immediately after the Cavs won the title that were either congratulatory or anti-LeBron. I left some quotes out because I am not sure if they are Heat fans, but all of the omitted quotes were congratulatory. None of them were anti-LeBron. If you want to go back and check (I'm guessing you won't), you'll see exactly that: The absolute worst remark there by a Heat fan was met with the following response from another so-called "salty" Heat fan: So, out of 13 Heat fans (including the post by Silverphin), exactly 10 were congratulatory and 3 were anti-LeBron. Please explain to me how all (or even most) Heat fans in here are salty at LeBron. I'd love to hear the spin on that one. You see, what I did there was what those of us who use the English language call providing "proof". Are you still confused?
He got the max he could've gotten had he left. But yeah, it kind of looks bad but Riley's ultimate loyalty is to the team. If we can make the team better we're obligated to do it. That being said, if we traded him, I'd prefer to trade him somewhere he'd be happy
Dragic really showed his value in the playoffs this year. I think Riley would have to be targeting a real superstar to part with Goran, and maybe I'm in the minority but I don't think his contract is bad value for the Heat.
It's not a bad value. The question is whether a core of Wade/Dragic/Whiteside is enough, leaving Bosh aside for now Because unless you trade Dragic, or let Whiteside walk, that's what you've got
Derrick Rose isn't a very good player. Dwight Howard is a loser, and so is Carmelo. Who is the leader on that team? Porzingis?
Dwight did make a Finals and Carmelo made a WCF when he had a good team I'm just saying compared to what the Knicks had 3 hours ago, it's pretty good
Also we're not likely to have the exact same team. Not sure we can get Deng back So it's possible we're not as good
Wade will also be 35 years old and who knows about Bosh. I'm actually kinda worried about next season.
That's certainly fair. Though I am really encouraged by how Wade got through the season. As for Bosh, you'll know pretty soon. If he shows up at training camp and they let him participate he's probably fine. If they don't then it's over. They will not let him take the floor and re-set that clock unless they're certain he can play
All of these people loitering in the Streets of greater Cleveland are a menace to the law abiding citizens of Cleveland. The Police should bring out the hoses and rubber pellets, and begin to lock these anarchist thugs up.
I'm not worried about next season because Winslow will be taking another step and Richardson can be better. Those two rookies were huge contributors in just their first season... without them, I don't think we make the playoffs. They will only get better, especially Winslow.
No doubt Winslow will work hard but no guarantee his shot improves dramatically I actually think J-Rich is the better player. Better shooter, more explosive athlete
Sun...duh knucks just gawt Rosse sun...porzingawd, wit melo sun..gonna get D12 sun...best stawtin' five in the east sun...cumin' fo da king sun...da Heat nawt gun be a threat to us sun...we be back sun..Phil is da gawd sun!...naw weee need a x-factuh sun...and we wun da chip..sun...
Rooting for someone to lose isn't hating on them? Yeah, I'm dense I guess. You keep pushing the bar around, he left your team, you were hoping he would never win in Cleveland and even after he did you still think he made a bad decision. In my book hater. No one said you couldn't think he was still a good player but you are sitting there hoping he fails, so yeah that makes you a hater.
If the move clears space down the road for a big time free agent then the move makes a little sense. If the move was made because they think Rose is still a great player then Phil Jackson is an idiot.
Yeah because I've been on this board for years and the Lebron hate goes way back. And you actually did prove my point, there is a back handed comment or hate in just about every post there. Good job of copying and pasting a bunch of posts though, I appreciate the effort. Still think the Heat fans are haters, sorry its just a fact of life after being on here for the last two seasons. Some gracious comments after a Cavs win are nice but still don't prove anything, again I appreciate your time though.
Youre obsessing more over people "hating" on Lebron than we are obsessing on hating him lol i didnt want him to win a title in cleveland. So what? I can have that selfish opinion if i want to. He did it anyways, oh well. The fact remains that he had planned his "return" with Dan Gilbert 2-3 years before he was a free agent again, he cut off all communication while riley had Luol and Pau coming in on discount deals thinking Lebron would sign back to a deeper team. Then Lebron continued staying quiet, did not give a hint of what was goinng on, every other free agent we could have pursued instead of waiting on Lebron had commited or signed already, Pau was done waiting and ditched. And then Lebron comes out with his magazine which by the way, had been planned with Sports Illustrated for a while too. It was such a scumbag move. Could have just made his intentions known earlier and not handicap our franchise for Riley can look and pursue other free agents. And thats my reason for not wanting him to win. Dont **** with the Heat. I dont even let Dwyane Wade get away with his prima donna attitude like the one he and gabrielle union pulled last year. The Heat organization is #1 the players are second in my eyes.
I haven't crunched the numbers yet (still at work) but I believe after this deal the knicks could be set up to have 3 max slots next year which could be a much stronger FA class.
It's dense to hear "Gilbert and Cav's fans are classless" and understand it as "I hate Lebron". The fact is I didn't want him to fail. I wanted him to have great individual success, leave Cleveland again and then have team success again. It is exactly what I said. I don't hate Lebron, but I have no respect for the Cleveland organization.
I'm not obsessing over anything, I totally understand the hate. I've said so in multiple posts, its natural. What I don't get is why people are acting like its isolated that people hate Lebron for leaving and want him to lose. I get it, I hate other teams and their players too. It seems like a very innocent statement to make unless its this thread for some reason.
- My New York guy thinks Phil Jackson is Allin on Al Horford, but there is doubt now because Phil wants to offer a smaller than market deal and it seems that Atlanta will go all the way for him. - Pau Gasol has interest and the numbers will make a lot of sense, and my guy says if you can bet on which big Phil lures, it will be his former Laker PF. Numbers in the $30mil for 2 year range. - No Interest in Dwight Howard at the numbers he will command. - Phil has interest in a Jordan Clarkson offer sheet. (I don't think the Lakers will let him go) - Eric Gordon is a name that pops up as a guy that Phil might pursue, but the money might scare Phil away. - Ownership will push for DeRozan, but Phil Jackson wants to preserve 17' cap space. - Wayne Ellington and Jerryd Bayless are definite targets and the Fav of the intelligentsia. (THE MIAMI HEAT HAVE interest in Ellington)
right now no...but that is something you wait 4 years down the road and assess how it turned out. Now, if you think that ONE Cavs title is worth the decision all by itself, then sure.
I think two Finals appearances and one title is as good as anyone else in the league so I don't think its even arguable at this point. Lebron has also left himself options he could leave Cleveland if he wants. Like it or not this title is a much bigger deal for his legacy than either of the titles he won with Miami. It really shouldn't be but man, cmon winning a title in Cleveland? I mean a guy like Kosar is a legend in Cleveland for being really good for a lot of years and never being close to a HOFer. Miami has a history of excellence so winning a title there is expected, winning in Cleveland is like a fat loser scoring a supermodel.
