I've been a Sony guy for 19 years now. Very happy customer. I've had absolutely no issues with my PS4 whatsoever.
This pretty much. Look at exclusives to see if there is something you just cannot live without. If not, it doesn't really matter.
After E3, there is now a wrong choice between console iterations. Buy a PS4 now, no PS4 Neo for you. Buy an Xbox now, no Xbox One S or Project Scorpio for you. There's zero incentive to buy a console this exact moment.
Its a fair point. But if you have no intention of buying a 4k TV, then the lower price on a current system could make the choice easier. As long as my PS4 doesn't die, I'm not buying a new one.
Ive always felt that the variety of games is better for Xbox, but the graphics and overall look are better on PS.
It really depends on what kind of games you want to play. I don't do shooters, and generally stay away from anything first person. For me, Uncharted, Ratchet & Clank, MLB The Show, Little Big Planet, Gran Turismo, and the upcoming No Man's Sky, Horizon Zero Dawn, the FF7 remake and others are all games I wouldn't get without Sony, and I have little to no interest in anything thats XBOX exclusive. The last one I did was Mass Effect, and it went multi platform after the first game.
They've said multiple times that all upcoming games will run on the current PS4, and even that some future ones won't run on the new system. They of course could be lying, but it seems that PS4 owners should be safe into the near future for the next 4-5 years until a true sucessor PS5 comes out.
