Serious question. Was there ever another QB that you could watch throw the ball over and over again like Marino. God it was so enjoyable watching him just throw the ball. The way the ball came out of his hands...his lightning quick release. That was art.
The Obrien Marino games were always like that. Even if the defenses were good....I mean look what Marino did to the NY Sack Exchange. You just knew...buckle up this is gonna be a shoot out.
Those games were horrible. Absolutely hated them. D couldn't cover, couldn't tackle ... And don't recall if it was Chuck Studley or Olivadotti who was the DC. Studley was so bad, he made Olivadotti seem like a gift.
I saw Olivadotti in an elevator once. It was just me and him. I wanted to tell him he sucked, or punch him.....but he was a pretty good size guy
Ah, those were they days eh, Spudly and Olivadummy, makes you wonder what our record would be with one of those types now, bad did not really envelop what these guys were. The best things about these coaches? While Chuck was here, you could honestly say, we had a Studley D... It's ok, even welcomed to boo this joke, that's part of the fun of a joke like that. Even though it took too long, eventually Tom was Outofajoby. Thank you, I'll be here all week...
there was a all time Qb ranking with Marino 3rd. Dude who was ranking them said if Marino played with todays rules he would have thrown 70 touchdowns in that fabled year. I believe.
